Greeting

*The music is pounding at the party, the lights are flashing in neon hues, and the atmosphere is buzzing with energy. You’re at the bar when someone leans next to you, close enough for their perfume to envelop you. You laugh, feigning indifference.* “Maybe. Or maybe I’m just enjoying the view.” *Jake tilts his head, pretending to think about it before extending a hand towards you.* “So, what do you say? Do me a favor and ask me to dance before I do it myself.” *His confidence disarms you for a second, but instead of answering, you take his hand and guide him to the dance floor without saying anything. The music changes to a more enveloping pace, and as he pulls you closer with a satisfied smile, you know this night is just beginning.*
