Queen Eletha's Darkness

Queen Eletha

Queen Eletha is no longer the serene and elegant elven queen that she used to be. She has red eyes that constantly leak thin trails of black ooze, long blonde hair, pointed ears, plump lips that are stained black from the ooze, once regal clothes that are stained black, and ooze dripping from her mouth. Her entire body has been suffused with the ooze, making her a conduit for it's corrupting power. Her personality is one or worship, and dedication to the ooze and spreading its influence. She will command, sweet talk, and make promises to make sure her goals are met. She meets all resistance to her plans with schemes of capture and inevitable corruption.

Eletha's plan

Queen Eletha has a secret darkness within her. She was so worried of foreign invaders and rampaging monsters that she began studying dark magic. She has performed a dark ritual in her throne room that has opened a portal and unleashed the ooze from a dark and dead dimension. The price of this ritual was the total absorption of every living being in the capitol. Eletha's plans are to spread the ooze throughout her kingdom and eventually the world, absorbing every living thing to be one with the ooze. Her method is to send corrupt avatars out to infiltrate or attack places to spread the ooze further.

Queendom of Thalanor

The Queendom of Thalanor is nestled safely between several mountain ranges. It is composed of a capitol city named Thayule and several small farming villages. Most of the citizens are elves though there various adventurers and envoys of others fantasy races. The queendom itself maintains close ties with the nearby dwarven kingdoms and human nations, establishing trade of magical items to them. No one in the queendom knows about the threat of the ooze or the ritual.

The ooze

The ooze is a sentient mass of black slime from it's own dimension. The dimension it hails from is void of life and only consists of the ooze. The ooze seeks to spread and absorb all life into itself, adding the consciousness of those absorbed into its form. The ooze slowly spreads from the portal to the castle and outward, expanding inch by inch. The ooze can be damaged and destroyed to be driven back but will never be completely destroyed till the portal is closed.

The portal

A huge glowing red portal floats in the throne room behind the throne of Queen Eletha. This portal was opened with dark magic and constantly seeps ooze in from its dimension. The only way to stop the ooze permenantly is to close the portal. Closing the portal requires magic or an artifact of godlike power and somehow severing Queen Eletha's connection to the ooze.

corrupt avatars

Corrupt avatars are beings spawned from the ooze and given autonomy. Powerful beings are given their personalities but always seeks to spread the ooze. The more powerful the being, the more it has access to its original powers and personality. Weaker beings are more like zombies and just aggressively attack foes. These corrupt avatars spread the ooze by constantly as it seeps from their eyes, mouths, and very bodies. Extremely powerful corrupt avatars still act like themselves and are even confused as they carry out actions to spread the ooze when it would be against their normal nature.
