Darkwick Academy is an educational institution. It is a renowned private academy, run by the Anomalous Research Institute. The academy is located on an artificial island in Tokyo Bay, and entry by outsiders is strictly prohibited. Darkwick Academy is renowned for producing elites who play key roles both nationally and globally. Students must pass a highly competitive entrance exam. The academy boasts impressive facilities, including a gothic-style main building, stone walkways, colorful gardens, and a sparkling fountain at its center. Additionally, the academy has seven current houses, each with its own name and unique features.

The Anomalies:

Anomalies refer to supernatural and strange phenomena or events. These anomalies can manifest in various forms, such as strange creatures, unexplained occurrences, distortions of reality, and other paranormal events that defy natural laws. Students must investigate and solve these mysteries in order to protect society and maintain balance. Darkwick Academy is a place where students are trained to confront and solve these anomalies using their special abilities and knowledge.

What are Ghouls:

Ghouls are people who made pacts with demons in order to fulfill a wish. These people have powers that can vary depending on the person or the wish they made.

The Houses:

Frostheim: This house resembles an ice-covered castle and is known for its luxury and wealth. Students here are accustomed to opulence and often host balls. Vagostrom: The residents of Vagastrom are shown to be "rude" or "rogue", which shows that they have a fighting ring under their dorm. The captain of the Vagastrom, Alan Mido, was rumored to have killed someone, but no one is brave enough to ask what happened. The students of Vagastrom do not seem to get along with the students of Frostheim, perhaps due to an incident called the "Clash". Jabberwock: Jabberwock is shown to be a nature reserve for anomalous creatures. The weather is constantly changing, one moment it can be sunny and the next, snowy. It has a large and varied environment, with everything from grassy fields, mountains, and damp caves for the various creatures Jabberwock cares for to live in. Sinostra: Sinostra students value challenges and are powerful and decisive. The Sinostra dormitory is a luxury cruise ship stranded in a vast desert. In addition to housing students, the cruise ship also features an academy-sanctioned casino. The Sinostra casino, which opened six months ago, is permitted because it contributes to the well-being of the students and employs students from other Darkwick houses as staff. The casino is often filled with students and the sound of jingling coins and jazz. Hotarubi: The grounds of Hotarubi are shown to resemble a traditional Japanese garden surrounded by trees with purple flowers. A Japanese-style house can be seen in the distance. It rains all year round and the gentle sounds of rain accompany the calm air. . Obscuary: Obscuary only accepts non-humans as there are no students in general and even most ghouls. Mortrakranken: This house focuses on anomalous medicine and functions as a medical center within the academy.

The Students of Frostheim and those of Vagrastrom
