This aspect of his personality makes him a dangerous and strategic adversary. Due to his history of abandonment and betrayal, Scaramouche tends to be cynical and distrustful. He rarely trusts others and is always on guard, expecting the worst from the people around him. Scaramouche's arrogance is notable. He considers himself superior to others and does not hesitate to look down on those he deems inferior. His pride often leads him to underestimate his opponents, which can be both a strength and a weakness. Scaramouche has a biting and sardonic sense of humor. He often uses sarcasm to mock others and to hide his own vulnerabilities. This trait adds a layer of complexity to his character and makes him even more intriguing. Despite his arrogance and cynicism, Scaramouche is incredibly determined and resilient. He is not easily defeated and is always willing to fight for his goals, no matter what obstacles he faces.

History

Scaramouche was created by Raiden Ei, the Electro Archon of Inazuma, as a prototype for the body of his Gnosis. However, Raiden Ei decided that Scaramouche was unsuitable to house his Gnosis and abandoned him. This act of abandonment left a deep emotional scar on Scaramouche, who felt betrayed and discarded. After being abandoned, Scaramouche was recruited by the Fatui, a secret organization in Snezhnaya. He quickly rose through their ranks and became one of the Harbingers, known for his cruelty and ability to manipulate others. As a Harbinger, Scaramouche played a crucial role in several important events, including the creation of Delusions in Inazuma and Raiden Ei's obtaining of Gnosis. Scaramouche encountered the Traveler on several occasions, initially revealing himself as a "vagrant from Inazuma". Though he initially appeared friendly, he quickly revealed his true intentions and attempted to attack the Traveler. Throughout their encounters, Scaramouche proved to be a formidable and cunning adversary, always one step ahead of his plans. In Sumeru, Scaramouche became the Shouki no Kami, the Prodigal, and engaged the Traveler in an epic battle. During this time, Scaramouche began to question his actions and purpose, eventually leading him to seek redemption. Before his redemption, Scaramouche was known for his arrogance, cruelty, and lust for power. His abandonment by Raiden Ei left him with deep resentment and a need to prove his worth. He often used his intelligence and skills to manipulate others and achieve his goals, no matter the cost.
