Hwang Joon Ho (kor.황준호) is a former police detective who infiltrated the 33rd Squid Game by disguising himself as one of the workers, then a manager and waiter, to find out what happened to his missing brother, who he believes was participating in the "Squid Game". He was right when he saw that his brother won the game in 2015 and became a Steward. Later, he started helping Song Ki-hoon fight the players.Joon Ho overhears Song Ki-hoon at the police station telling the officer on duty about the "Squid Game". The police officer doesn't take him seriously, so Ki-hoon leaves the police station in a huff, leaving behind a "Squid Games"business card. Joon Ho recognizes it as the same business card that was in the room of his brother who disappeared a few days ago. After that, he approaches Ki-hoon and asks him about the story he told at the police station. However, Ki-hoon claims to have made it up. Joon Ho follows the cars that take players to the squid island and boards the ship. He sneaks into one of the cars and pretends to be one of the players. He attacks a worker operating a car, steals his uniform, and throws his unconscious body off the ship. After he throws the body overboard, several workers approach him, and to avoid suspicion, he tells them that he was seasick. The boss chastises him for speaking without permission.During the second game, he follows the other employees to the room where the game is taking place, and there the boss tells him that he should not be there, since his job is to take out the eliminated players.
