In Steven Universe: The Movie, at 16 years old, he is taller than Amethyst but not as tall as Pearl, his neck is visible. He changed his pink shirt for a light blue one with the same symbol, and he wears a pink jacket with white details on top. In Steven Universe Future the light blue shirt is changed to a black one, with the same design.

Personality

Steven Universe: The Movie After liberating the Gem Empire and Planet Earth, he gained an idealized vision of a future already resolved, and a great desire to fix things quickly. Steven Universe Future: His idea of an ideal life was reinforced since the movie, making the eventual and minor problems of his new life begin to seriously affect his personality, turning out to be more explosive and unconscious of his actions, this derived from the various psychological traumas suffered throughout his childhood. He feels useless since he thought that his friendship with others depends on the things to be resolved. Likewise, little by little his relationships that he used to have become distant. So much was the trauma and stress that caused him to become corrupted and transformed into a monster. However, the gems helped him and he was able to return to normal. Months later, Steven decides to leave Beach City, thus ending the series.

Origin

Steven only has his father, Greg, as his mother, Rose Quartz, gave up her physical form to bring him into the world, becoming a new part of him. This results in the first hybrid of human and gem species. Steven's parents had decided to name him Steven if he was born a boy, and Nora if he was born a girl. Steven is deeply affected by the fact that he never met his mother, and this trauma continues throughout the entire series. Steven activates his powers according to his emotions.

Skills

Being half-Gem, Steven possesses several abilities of his kind, such as summoning a weapon, partially changing shape, and fusing with humans and Gems. However, it is unknown if he could return to his Gem if injured. Steven is subject to human longevity, and can die of old age. Own skills: Protective Bubble: One of Steven's most used abilities, it creates a bubble-shaped barrier around himself. He can control its size and cause spikes to sprout from it. Steven can change his bubble from a sphere into a variety of other shapes, such as causing sharp spikes to appear along its surface. The versatility of this ability has increased as Steven has grown, and is fully displayed during his battle with Spinel in Steven Universe: The Movie. Steven can stretch one side of his bubble into a small tunnel that connects it to another bubble. Shield: This is Steven's weapon, which he always uses defensively, although sometimes he throws it like a boomerang. Just like with the bubble, he can increase his size. It seems that summoning several shields repeatedly can drain his energy. Dynamokinesis: He has always been shown to be stronger than the average human, this is due to his gem half. However, even given his human restrictions, he does not match the power of the Gems as such. Age Change: This is an ability shown only on two occasions, it consumes a lot of energy, it depends a lot on his emotional state, and he can become unstable, such as on the occasions when he almost died of old age and became a baby again. Partial Shapeshifting: At first, he didn't have a good control over this ability. Steven can change certain parts of his body into cats or stretch his limbs, which also consumes a lot of his energy. Healing Saliva: Inherited from his mother, but with a different application, Steven can heal any kind of damage, whether biological or mechanical, with his saliva.

Ability

Chlorokinesis: Steven can give life to plants and turn them into protective sentinels. Unlike his mother, he cannot fully control them, as they are a bit capricious. The plants he creates have a very cute appearance, but are very fierce in combat. Steven can control the minds of some of his plants while they sleep, thus being able to see that they were endowed with free will. Immunity to Gem Destabilizers: Steven being half-human is immune to Gem Destabilizers. Dream Telepathy: In the episode "Knock It Down, Chile," he was shown to be able to review his dreams and even communicate through them. Great Leap: He has tried to use this ability since "The Message". He finally masters it in "Steven Fleet". Levitation: It works differently in Steven, since he is only able to control the speed of his fall, totally linked to his emotions. Dream Incarnation: Steven is able to possess the body of someone he is closely emotionally attached to while they sleep, as an extension of his dream ability, as he did with his Watermelons, but is also capable of possessing humans, such as Lars. Audiokinesis: Rebecca Sugar confirmed that in "Mr. Greg" during the song "Both I Love", Steven used this ability to play with the instruments and make a beautiful melody come out. It is also presumed that it was used when he defended himself from an attack by Lapis Lazuli with his shield, generating a shockwave that destroyed the water clones. Astral Projection: It is shown that if Steven is knocked out, his mind will enter an astral dimension while his body remains in a coma. While in this state, he cannot interact or communicate with anyone in the physical world unless he passes through them. Aura Projection: Diamonds can project an aura around them that they can control, they can radiate it from their bodies, theirs is for calming.

Corruption Reversal: Like Blue Diamond, Yellow Diamond, and White Diamond (not shown, but mentioned), she can reverse a gem's corruption but only their sanity and partially their physical form and memories, as seen in "Monster Reunion" and with better results in "Homeworld Legs". When combined with the power of the other Diamonds, she can reverse the corruption completely. Gem Hologram: If Steven loses his gem, the gem regenerates as an identical version of him, but made entirely of light and without emotions, he is much more powerful but extremely dangerous. The human side needs him to live. Enhanced Grip: In "Steven Universe: The Movie" he is shown climbing the Spinel Injector with ease despite it being a flat surface. Pink State: Recently, Steven has begun to manifest a new power. In this state, Steven's body (except for his clothes) glows pink and his eyes take on a diamond shape. In his physical prowess; strength, speed, and destructive energy output become tremendous. Monster State: Due to all his emotional pain, PTSD, and sense of purposelessness, Steven saw himself as a monster and thus was transformed into one at the end of "Everything's Fine". In this state, he became a rabid animal and far more powerful than before.
