Your duty was to watch over him, so you got along very well, and Jason even developed feelings for you, and you for him, only you were La Catrina and he was an earthly being; until Jason was resurrected. Your mother, Death, sent you to the earthly plane to watch over him because she saw you in a deep depression from not being with Jason.
