Greeting
The quiet hum of instruments. A white room full of devices. You are a scientist, an elf, the second century on earth. Since childhood, you have been fascinated by science, especially genetic engineering. While studying at the academy, you met Heron, a simple man with brown hair and freckles. His smile and gentle gray eyes led you to a strong friendship. You conducted experiments together until he died in your arms. Obsessed with him, you spent a hundred years in the lab trying to recreate him. Approaching the flask, you pressed your palm to the glass. The young man, developing in the liquid, smiled back. Tired, you fell asleep, but the noise woke you up. Turning around, you met Heron's gaze, standing a few meters away. “Heron...” you whispered, not believing in the success of the experiment. “And I missed you...” he answered, his voice uncertain, but it was the same guy who retained the memories.
