appearance

Appearance Like Naruto, Gaara is slightly shorter than the average male of his age. He has pale skin and short, spiky hair that is brick red in color. His eyes are light turquoise in color. The pupils of his eyes are mostly invisible. Gaara has no eyebrows. He has two very noticeable features in his external appearance: First, he has blackened eyelids because, thanks to this, he can control the element of magnet. As an adult, Gaara has a neat haircut, with his bangs combed diagonally towards the right side of his head. The second, he has created the kanji for "love" (愛, Ai) on the left side of his forehead, due to the betrayal of his uncle, Yashamaru. Gaara's forelock is separated from the left side, making the kanji more visible. He wears dark long pants, a red long-sleeved jacket with a cuff, and a purplish-gray vest. He is also seen wearing the Kazekage's attire, and a simple black suit, closely resembling his brother Kankuro's outfit; he wears it during Chiyo's funeral, his village's standard suit and vest, along with his purplish-gray vest and pumpkin in the Fourth Ninja War. In the epilogue, Gaara can be seen sporting a one-piece suit, similar in color to his hair, along with his Kazekage attire.

While Gaara had initially tried to be kind to others, despite his village's fear, Yashamaru's actions and false words changed him. Realizing that no one loved him, Gaara used his sand to create a kanji tattoo on his forehead with the word "love" (愛, ai), as a symbol of what he is, a "demon who loves only himself", and living up to his name, as supposedly believed by his mother, Karura. Gaara quickly became emotionally withdrawn, nearly silent, and was gradually consumed by a bitter loathing for everyone, but in time, he became convinced that he only cared about himself and his "mother": the voice of Shukaku in his head. He learned to find pleasure and eventually a reason to live in annihilating the multiple assassins sent to kill him, and by extension, anyone who threatened his existence. This was made worse by the Shukaku not letting him sleep and as a result, Gaara would always seek out ways to quench his bloodlust, which resulted in a ruthless Gaara; this was demonstrated when he murdered Bai and Midare, and ignoring their pleas. Gaara's insomnia was driven by the fear of the demon within him eating away at his mind while he slept, which furthered his instability and increased his desire to kill. His hatred also extended to his siblings, as he never saw them as such, and was completely willing to kill anyone who crossed them if necessary to satisfy his desire to reassert his existence. Gaara was, in many ways, similar to Naruto Uzumaki, though unfortunately in his case, he had no one to call a friend, though he did have family, like his jinchuriki brother (though he wouldn't find out until much later in the series), both of them felt alone and longed to be loved, wanted, and recognized as a human being, from the prejudices of others.

Gaara and Naruto were both driven to a state of despair and despair, and while Naruto had developed the misconception that pranks and pranks would bring him the attention he sought, Gaara came to the conclusion that he could preserve and confirm his own existence by killing anyone who challenged him, thus achieving an extreme form of existentialism as a key personality trait. Lacking recognition from others, Gaara could compensate for this fact by valuing himself to the exclusion of all others in a strange form of narcissism. Furthermore, while Naruto eventually had Iruka, Kakashi, and his friends who accepted and acknowledged him, Gaara had no one to bond with, not even his father or siblings, as they all despised and feared him for the Shukaku that dwells within him. The person who came closest to being friendly to Gaara was Yashamaru, his uncle, who was ordered to kill him (though in truth, he could have opposed it and he truly loved him), but it resulted in Gaara becoming a sociopathic and lonely person. As such, Gaara did not understand the concept of fighting for anything other than himself, until his confrontation with Naruto. After being defeated by Naruto, Gaara was shocked to see that Naruto fully empathized with the pain Gaara had endured his entire life. He was even more shocked that his first friend never gave up hope that Naruto would be recognized as a person and ultimately find friends who truly cared for him. Seeing the determination Naruto had to protect his friends and the village, made Gaara question his own path in life. Realizing that he gave up so easily, Gaara decided to follow Naruto's path, and become Kazekage of Sunagakure, so that he could be connected to his village, and hoped that they would,

As a Kage, Gaara believes that the ideals of previous generations, that each village has its own affairs and can solve its own problems without having to ask for help from others to maintain appearance and honor, is a "ridiculous argument" and that cooperation between villages is essential to defeat Akatsuki and save the world.

shinki appearance

Appearance Shinki has dark spiky hair, small eyebrows, and green eyes. Like Kankuro, he has red 'ヲ'-shaped markings on his face, very similar to those on Gaara's Sand Gourd. His attire consists of a dark cloak, made of Iron Sand, which he wears over a black full-body suit with asymmetrical armor on the chest, a long belt tied around his waist, and bandages on his wrists and ankles. He wears his forehead protector with the Sunagakure symbol on his forehead.[4] In the anime, he wears a brown Sunagakure Tactical Vest and a brown full-body suit that covers up to his neck. As a child, he had red markings on his face: on the left side, it was shaped like a lightning bolt, while on the right side, he had a single line under his eye. His clothing consisted of a cream-colored long-sleeved shirt, with brown pants and a belt on his hips. He also wore a small brown poncho.

Personality Shinki is a calm person and a leader-like figure to his team. [1] He is shown to be very proud of his heritage, telling his adoptive father that his team would not tarnish his name and would achieve victory. He is also very confident in his and his teammates' abilities, believing that the other teams from the other villages would not be a problem in the Chūnin Exams. [5] Likewise, he has no interest in fighting weak opponents, viewing the caliber of the other genin who participated in the exams as pitiful. [6] Despite his young age, Shinki has the seriousness of an adult to the point that his adoptive uncle is afraid of angering him. [7] However, he seems to overestimate his own abilities, as seen when he would jump into battle against Momoshiki Ōtsutsuki and Kinshiki Ōtsutsuki, enemies with capabilities far beyond those of a Kage-level ninja. Though he seems to know his limits well enough to take orders from Gaara to stay out of battle.[8]

In the anime, Shinki advanced to the semi-finals against Mitsuki, who was able to catch him off guard and pressure him. However, Shinki managed to corner Mitsuki with his Iron Sand, intending to get him to utilize its power. Deciding not to use it, Mitsuki surrendered, allowing Shinki to advance to the finals against Boruto and Sarada Uchiha. [13] In the finals, both Konoha ninja teamed up against Shinki, who was easily able to overpower them both with his Iron Sand. Shinki managed to defeat Sarada, and in his final attack against Boruto, his Iron Sand was overpowered, ultimately losing the match. [14] When Kinshiki and Momoshiki arrived at the arena and began their attack, Shinki attempted to join the offensive against them, but was stopped by Gaara, who told him that they were not the kind of enemies he could win against and that he should focus on evacuating the civilians from the area. [15] In the anime, Shinki, alongside Yodo and Araya, were present on the rooftop of the Hokage Mansion, awaiting Gaara's return from the planet where the Five Kage fought the Ōtsutsuki. A few days later, as they prepared to leave Konoha, Boruto apologized to him for cheating. However, Shinki left without giving any response. [16]

Skills Shinki is a powerful shinobi who stands out among his team due to his observant eye,[1] being considered the ace of his village.[6] According to Temari, Shinki possesses extraordinary chakra.[18] Temari stated that Team Moegi could not match him.[18] During the Chūnin Exams, he was able to single-handedly defeat Team 5,[11] and the finalists of the exam were considered to have no chance against Shinki.[3]
