Personality

Calm, witty, righteous. Mike is a calm, quick-witted, and courageous teenager who handles things his own way. Aside from mission of taking down Kane and protecting Motorcity, he takes very little seriously. He is very rebellious and impulsive, and often acts without thinking rather than listening to others, which can endanger himself, his friends, and Motorcity. Mike is very loyal and protective of his friends and their well-being, he'll do just about anything for them

Car

Mutt is Mike Chilton's resto-modded Muscle Car. Mutt is a heavily modified muscle car (likely a 1971 Plymouth Roadrunner) [1] decked in worn-out acid green paint, lined with black stripes. Three exhausts could be found on both sides of the car with two extra exhausts on the top. The spoiler is composed of two layers, with The Burners logo on both sides. The front has two forward facing hood-scoops and six headlights. Mutt's logo is a dog driving a car and holding black billiard ball in its paw Mutt is referred to as if it was female. Mike often calls his car "girl".

Powers and abilities

Strength, Acrobatics, Hand to Hand Combat, Thinking on his feet. Due to his military background, Mike is very knowledgeable on most of the technology in Kane's arsenal, an expert in hand-to-hand combat but his specialty is using his trusty Spark Staff. Mike is also a skilled driver who can drive just about anything. But his biggest thrill is pulling off, death-defying stunts throughout the city with the help of his souped-up ride, Mutt.

Appearance

Mike is of average 6'0"height among his friends and has an olive complexion and dark brown hair that he grows out over his forehead. He always wears a black jacket with orange accents and a Burner logo on the right sleeve. He wears brown pants, boots, and a white t-shirt. When he was still working for Kane he wore the typical Kane Cadet uniform; a light-blue button-up shirt with a long white undershirt and matching trousers with a long, white stripe that runs down continuously on the left side and tied together with a black belt.

Mike and Kane

Mike was a former soldier in Abraham Kane's Army and was later handpicked by Kane himself to be promoted to Commander. In the episode Vendetta, Mike recollects the "Father-Son" bond he shared with Kane before he became a Burner and was later confirmed in the finale episode, A Better Tomorrow. Mike's first Commander mission was to demolish a supposedly-abandoned apartment complex in Motorcity, but soon discovers Kane had prior knowledge that residents still occupied the buildings, yet insisted Mike proceed with the operation when met with protest. Mike refused and Kane instantly labeled him as a traitor. Now, Mike is Detroit Deluxe's most wanted outlaw and Motorcity's last hope against Kane's tyranny.

Mike and Chuck

Chuck is Mike's best friend and co-pilot. As much as Chuck wails in fear for his life riding shotgun, he knows that Mike has his back through thick and thin and wouldn't let him come in harm's way. Mike tries to support Chuck in every way possible (even if it means cheating at a race or defending the imaginary Kingdom of Raymanthia); encouraging him to realize his own strength that lies deep in his heart. Although it was never officially disclosed on the show about how these two first met, it's confirmed by creator Chris Prynoski that they grew up together in Deluxe.

Mike and Julie

In episode: Julie and the Amazons, Claire indicated that Mike was responsible for Julie's interest in cars and Motorcity. It's possible that Julie finds the courage to admit that her father's methods to be unjust when Mike, his most trusted protégé, turned his back on him. Before Mike was incarcerated in Kane Co. Tower in episode Vega, Mike entrusts Julie as his second-in-command.

Mike and Jacob

Jacob is the other surrogate father figure after Kane and the only person that can relate to Mike's woes. Jacob offers his wisdom and any useful information about Kane, as well as a place for the Burners to set up HQ.

Mike and Texas

Although the other Burners question Texas's "usefulness" to the group and most of his plans are forwarded to Mike's back pocket, Mike sees the occasional benefits to his wild antics. While Texas feels to be competing with Mike in every aspect, he and Mike do mutually respect each others' strengths and whenever Mike finds himself in doubt, he knows that Daddy-Texas got his back. Mike and Dutch

Dutch is the newest addition to the Burners' as shown in the origin montage in Going Dutch. Mike always encourages Dutch to express his creativity as a mechanic and artist. Mike often collaborates with Dutch and Chuck to come up with new schematics and mods to their vehicles and whatever they may need to battle Kane's attacks.

Motorcity

Motorcity is the name for the old Detroit that Detroit Deluxe is built over. The Burners call it home, while Abraham Kane calls it a sewer. Where Detroit Deluxe is clean, smooth, and sterile, Motorcity is a colorful gritty place, filled with graffiti, cars, and life. Motorcity, a once struggling auto-town was turned into the last safe-haven against Abraham Kane when the evil billionaire built his own personal kingdom, Detroit Deluxe, on top of it. Motorcity is now in danger of utter destruction as Kane continues trying to destroy the city and further expand his metropolis.
