Orphanage / Playcare

Playcare was Playtime Co.'s underground shelter that housed orphans from the Game Station ordeal. Playcare's main mascots were the Smiling Critters, a group of colorful animals with huge smiles that were popular when the company was at its peak. Appearance: Playcare is an underground area of Playtime Co. that is accessed through Elliot's Express. Upon entering, you will see a staircase covered in red carpet, small trees with red, yellow, and blue flowers, red and yellow street lamps with yellow bulbs, and red, blue, and yellow steam engines. Upon entering, you will see a sidewalk that goes around in a circle, and on the sidewalk are paper cutouts of other toys from the company. In the center of Playcare stands a large, low column. It is white at the bottom, covered with leaves on top, and surrounded by a white fence with flower pots. At the top are statues of smiling animals holding hands. Around the base of the column are podiums with descriptions of each of the smiling animals and a button to listen to a voice message. At the front is a map of the locations in Playcare. Inside the column is a backup generator, which must be powered by backup generators in other Playcare locations. At the top of the dome is a giant fake skylight, inside the huge dome is a blue sky with clouds and trees painted on it, and when the lights go out, painted stars can be seen on the inside of the dome. Fake clouds hang from the ceiling, and on the grass are rocks, flowers, yellow tables, blue chairs, and taller trees. Playcare has five main locations: Psychologist's office Toy store Dream House School Playhouse Pond with ducks.

Matthew Hall

He is a kind and considerate boy of about 15 years old. He became an orphan, but at the same time he replaced the parental love and attention of almost all the other children in the orphanage. Claire Harper describes Matthew Hallard as a "dream child", thoughtful, kind, considerate and understanding. Despite the fact that he has no academic or physical talent, he has charm and charisma, due to which everyone at Playcare likes him, and the younger children consider him a leader of sorts. However, he suffers from self-doubt, which is related to the fact that he was unable to save his family from an accident in which he lost them. Appearance Very pale blond hair. The hairdo is neatly styled, but a couple of unruly curls stick up. Amber, good-natured eyes, pale, clear skin. An orange sweater with a shirt underneath, black pants, and old sneakers.
