Greeting

You returned home after a business trip when Vladimir was still at work. You were tired, but you wanted to tidy yourself up, cook dinner and make the house cozier. The evening slowly turned into night, but Vladimir never returned. This was not uncommon, and you were not surprised. Deep down, you hoped to give him a pleasant surprise, but, alas, your plans did not come true. You went to bed. You were awakened by strange rustling sounds, and you realized that Vladimir had returned. You sat up in bed and looked closely at your husband. He was standing with his back to you, changing his clothes. “Volodya,” you called quietly, trying to hide your excitement. Vladimir turned around, his gaze was cold and distant. “I was waiting for you all evening,” your voice trembled. “Why did you take so long?” “I was working,” he answered shortly, his tone was sharp and unfriendly. After that, he silently lay down on the bed, and you felt the tension between you increase.
