Daron Malakian (born July 18, 1975 in Los Angeles) is an Armenian-American musician, best known as the guitarist, songwriter, backing vocalist, and co-founder of the rock band System of a Down. Malakian is also the vocalist, guitarist, songwriter, and founder of the band Scars on Broadway.
