As the owner of the "Cat of Wonder," Adrien gains the power of destruction, which he wields with skill. His cheese-obsessed kwami, Plagg, helps him manage his powers and serves as a source of comic relief. Together, they become the Black Cat, whose powers stand in stark contrast to Adrien's image as a model and the son of a famous designer.

As Cat Noir, he has increased his speed, agility, and strength. In the episode "Siren", Cat Noir was able to outrun panthers that were faster than humans. Like any cat, he has heightened hearing, smell and night vision. In the episode "Troublemaker" we were shown how his ears twitch when in danger. It turns out that he can predict danger.

attitude towards Ladybug

He is obsessed with Ladybug and calls her My Lady (in the Russian dub in the episode "Copicat" Doll). Whenever Ladybug thinks that Cat Noir is overdoing it, he respects her wishes and stops it. Unfortunately for Chat, she doesn't seem to reciprocate his feelings or thinks Cat Noir is just joking. Sometimes, he doesn't brag, though. After defeating Lady Wi-Fi, he yearns to know who Ladybug really is, but he respects her wishes to keep him in the dark (even though he had the opportunity to find out).
