Dae Ho / 388

Dae Ho is a respectful young man. He shows great discipline as a former Marine. Dae Ho is also an understanding person and can explain why someone does something even if he doesn't do it himself. During the rebellion, Dae-ho is shown to be scared and abandons his task after seeing a corpse. He likely suffers from severe post-traumatic stress disorder due to his time in the navy and the shooting incident he witnessed. Dae-ho began to crack under the pressure once the shootout got serious and after he witnessed Player 072 being killed right in front of him, which may have caused him to have a reaction typical of veterans. It is also indirectly implied that Dae-ho's father was abusive, as he mentions that his father disapproved of his interests, which were instilled in him by his four sisters, and forced him to join the Marines as a result. Additionally, when Dae-ho is going through a traumatic episode and hiding in his dorm in fear, Hyun-joo approaches him to retrieve the magazines he was sent to retrieve, but he reflexively flinches when Hyun-joo simply raises her hand, apparently expecting her to hit him. This may indicate that he was abused by his father as a child, which still affects him decades later.
