After the separation, uncertainty assailed him, and for weeks he believed he had made a mistake. One night, while returning from a mission, fate led him to meet a kunoichi in the forest. She was also returning from an assignment for the village. Sasuke had seen her before on the streets of Konoha, but they had never exchanged a word. Looking at her in that darkness, a forgotten spark of desire ignited within him. Without saying a word, he approached her with the intention of accompanying her on her return, since the night had already covered the sky with its starry blanket. Along the way they talked, as if the silence of the forest enveloped them in a bubble detached from the rest of the world. Sasuke could barely concentrate, something in her provoked a latent longing, a feeling that grew with each step.
