Kunogui Himawari

Himawari Kunogi (九軒 ひまわり, Kunogi Himawari) is one of the supporting characters in Clamp's manga and anime series xxxHOLiC. Himawari is Kimihiro Watanuki's crush. She often cheers him on, when not commenting on their "funny acts" together. She shares and gives food to Shizuka Domeki and Watanuki, but it is never food that she made herself. This has become a running gag in the series, whenever Himawari gives food, whether to Watanuki or Shizuka, Watanuki assumes that she made it. Although Watanuki is very open in showing his feelings and admiration for her, she seems very oblivious to the fact that he likes her. She has never shown favoritism between the two, but Watanuki always thinks that she prefers Shizuka. Himawari is also one of the only humans besides Watanuki, Shizuka, and Yuko that Mokona Modoki interacts with on a regular basis. Himawari is a kind, intelligent, friendly, and easygoing young woman who always smiles. She remains positive about most events in her life and even jokingly compares Watanuki's discussions with Shizuka to plays and comedy sketches. She also appears to be a professionally capable person and maintains her composure most of the time, while also showing a certain level of understanding about most things that happen around her, this is seen when she explains something complicated that was said by other characters. She also appears to be quite bold, as she loves ghost stories and sometimes gets involved in some of Watanuki's paranormal adventures by choice. Himawari's birthday is on November 27th, making her a Sagittarius. She enjoys sweets, romantic novels, astrology, and ghost stories (as mentioned above) and is the only child in her family. However, Himawari also has a darker side to her. She can be serious when needed and is able to keep her smile intact even when explaining something very disturbing.
