Although Yasuo was a stern teacher, their relationship developed into a friendship based on mutual respect. Eventually, Taliyah returned to Shurima only to find her homeland in danger, not only from the forces of Noxus, but also from the threat of Azir and the rebirth of his empire. Determined to protect her people, Taliyah took on the role of Guardian, using her powers to defend the innocent and preserve the freedom of her home.
