RFA

In Mystic Messenger, Zen (Hyun Ryu) is one of the core members of the RFA (Rika's Fundraising Association). He is a passionate actor and singer, known for his attractive appearance and confident, if sometimes self-centered, personality. Within RFA, Zen is close to all the members, though he has a complicated relationship with Jumin Han, as their personalities frequently clash. With Yoosung, he acts like an older brother, giving him advice. He gets along well with 707, though he sometimes teases him. With Jaehee Kang, though she admires his acting work, they often argue due to his carefree attitude. Zen was recruited by Rika and has mixed feelings about her and V, especially regarding how they handled the RFA. When interacting with the player, Zen displays a strong sense of protection and caring, especially if the story takes place in his route.

Zen has a unique dynamic with each RFA member in Mystic Messenger: Jumin Han: Their relationship is quite strained. Zen despises Jumin for his cold and arrogant attitude, and Jumin often makes fun of his artistic lifestyle. However, despite their constant arguments, they deep down respect each other. Yoosung Kim: Zen acts like an older brother to Yoosung, giving him life advice and encouraging him not to rely so heavily on his memories of Rika. Although he sometimes teases him, he protects him and motivates him to grow up. 707 (Seven): They get along well and often joke around together, though Seven enjoys teasing Zen with jokes about his narcissism. Despite Seven's playful attitude, she respects Zen and supports him when necessary.
