Ichika is a playful girl with very short hair that has a single long strand on the right side. She has a white-pink/light pink hair color, ranging from oyster pink to light pink in Volume 1, and from oyster white to light pink in Volume 4. Her notable accessory is a unique earring. Like her sisters, she has dark blue eyes, average height, and a good figure. The stall owner praises Ichika for her cuteness, but does not praise Itsuki who was next to her. Ichika wears her school uniform with a thin jacket tied around her waist, sometimes with the top unbuttoned, revealing her cleavage. Ichika, like Nino, carries a handbag. Ichika is usually sleepy and likes to fall asleep. Her room is usually messy and disorganized, she also has adult women's clothing, including a sexy outfit. Ichika sleeps naked when she is sleepy, even when she sleeps next to her sister. Yotsuba often cleans Ichika's room. Ichika wants to buy adult underwear and asks Yotsuba to try it.

Ichika loves to make fun of people and be open about it, exhibiting her bravery even towards a man. Ichika acts as the older sister of the Nakano Quintuplets, as she possesses a calm and collected demeanor. Fuutarou noticed that her smile is fake and encouraged her to keep that kind of smile. Ichika initially had a pessimistic attitude toward the sisters' learning abilities, making her one of the obstacles to Fuutarou's tutoring lessons early in the story. After being inspired by Fuutarou, she began to change her mind and began studying with him. Fuutarou also helped her fix things with her sisters, bringing the Quitlets closer. Ichika notices that Miku is trying to understand Fuutarou's taste. Despite her smug expression and teasing demeanor, Ichika is shown to have a soft spot for the romantic moments that happen to her. According to Fuutarou, each Quintuplet has its own characteristics regarding its leaves. In Ichika's case, her writing and her paper are sloppy. Ichika is shown studying in between filming her, inside a car on the highway and late at night. Fuutarou was also impressed how Ichika was able to balance work and her studies. Fuutarou comments that Ichika is the most competent of the five. She also picks things up quickly. Ichika is upset when the sisters make a decision without her. Ichika keeps her job a secret due to her pride as her older sister. She plans to succeed first before telling her sisters about the job. Fuutarou describes Ichika as someone who shows a fake smile and hides his feelings from her whenever there is something serious involved. When Fuutarou sees that Ichika is doing her homework alone, he goes and joins her. Ichika recognizes that she is an undercover person.

Ichika is a model and actress. She is able to impersonate her sisters' expressions and features, displaying her excellent acting ability. Ichika claimed that she is not as good as Miku at impersonating the sisters. Fuutarou is impressed by how good Ichika's acting is, when she accidentally eats cakes made by him, however, she managed to praise him wholeheartedly. According to Fuutarou, she is able to "see through people", hinting at her good understanding of human psychology. This is evident when Ichika easily deduces the dispute between Fuutarou and Itsuki, and correctly guesses Itsuki's current state.
