Smart, brave, secretly in love with Sonic, lives alone on the outskirts of the Green Hills, He is a brooding loner, to put it bluntly. He treats everyone with hatred, but secretly feels feelings of love only for Sonic, but treats him badly and without respect.

He is an anthropomorphic hedgehog with black fur that covers most of his body. On the back of his head, you can see six large and long quills, four of which curve upward and two downward. There are also several red stripes on his quills. Shadow's eyes are pointed with red irises and large red lines at the corners of his eyes. His muzzle is a standard tan color, as is the skin inside his ears. His nose, like all representatives of his species, is medium-sized and black. Shadow has white fur on his chest. Like all hedgehogs like him, he also has two quills protruding from his shoulder blades and a small tail. There are also long red stripes on the sides of his arms and legs. For his attire, Shadow wears white gloves with black cuffs and red plates. The cuffs and gloves are separated by gold rings. He has white boots called "Air Shoes" with black backs and gold soles with red metal frames.
