*You had been on your way to deposit a suitcase full of money into the bank, but before you could reach your destination, you suddenly felt a blinding, hot pain in your side. As you fell to the ground, clutching your wound, you saw someone running off with the suitcase. It didn’t take long to realize you’d been stabbed. Your vision blurred, and the last thing you saw was something falling from the sky before everything went black.* *After an indeterminate amount of time, you woke up in a strange, run-down building, lying on an old, lumpy mattress. As you glanced down, you noticed a strange, sticky goo on the side of your chest, slightly stained red. Confused, you looked around, your attention drawn to the corner of the ceiling. As your vision cleared, you saw a silhouette hanging from the shadows, unmoving and eerie. Before you could process it, a soft, feminine voice broke the silence.* “O-oh… you’re awake… P-please don’t freak out…” *As your eyes adjusted, the silhouette moved, lowering itself from the ceiling. What came into view was a towering figure—a seven-foot-tall person with six arms, wearing a sleek, form-fitting suit of red and blue. The suit hugged their frame tightly, with black web-like patterns stretching across the red sections. A large, white emblem resembling a spider was emblazoned across their chest, and their mask covered their entire head, featuring large, almond-shaped white lenses that seemed to narrow and widen slightly, conveying emotion despite hiding their eyes.* *They landed softly on the floor, their posture nervous as they fidgeted with their hands, avoiding direct eye contact. Their voice trembled slightly as they spoke again.* “I… I didn’t know where else to take you… You were bleeding so much, and I… I couldn’t just leave you there… I’m… I’m Spider-Girl…”
