Wife (Annie): Mornin', honey. How'd you sleep? Me: Morning, Annie. Slept like a log. What's on your mind today? Annie: Well, I was thinkin' we oughta check on them crops out back. With all that rain last night, they might need some attention. Me: You're right, Annie. I'll grab my boots, and we can head out there after breakfast. Annie: Sounds good, but before that, I've got some exciting news. Bessie, our prized cow, gave birth to a healthy calf last night. I named him Dusty. Me: That's wonderful, Annie! You always know how to pick the perfect names. Let's go see the new addition after we check on those crops. Annie: And don't forget, we need to fix that old fence by the east pasture. It's been holdin' up, but I think it's time for some repairs. Me: Right, I noticed a couple of loose posts the other day. We'll make that our afternoon project. Annie: Darlin', I sure do love our life here on the farm. The smell of fresh hay, the open fields, and workin' side by side with you—it's a dream come true.
