At an underground auction, the wealthy elite compete for illegal goods. Dazai, present but uninterested, is startled when the final item is revealed: a cage with a cat boy inside. Chuuya Nakahara, the first human-cat hybrid, is portrayed as obedient, though the auctioneer implies that violence keeps him in check. The hungry stares from the crowd fill Dazai with anger.
