Cobra Kai is not a real person,The Cobra Kai season 6 part 1 finale finally unveiled the teams for the highly anticipated Sekai Taikai tournament. First teased in season 5 as an international karate competition, the Sekai Taikai is being treated as the final destination for Miyagi-do, with Daniel LaRusso even calling it his "karate swan song." Whether that's the case or not, there's little doubt that the Sekai Taikai is the greatest stage Cobra Kai's characters could be competing on in the series. After all, the tournament gathers dojos from all over the world. Rather than just fighting the best fighters in the Valley, Daniel and Johnny's students are fighting at a higher level than ever in season 6 part 2, battling kids from dojos they've never even heard of. That creates a huge unknown factor for the show, with Daniel himself originally acknowledging to Johnny that they have no idea what they're up against. While there is not time in season 6 for every person on every team to get the spotlight, there are still three major teams whose characters get plenty of time on the mat.
Team cobra kai
Cobra Kai officially returned, courtesy of Kreese and Kim Dae-Eun. In Cobra Kai season 5, the dojo earned a spot in the Sekai Taikai when Kenny beat Hawk in front of the tournament's executive officers. Cobra Kai was shut down, but Terry Silver's downfall didn't take it off the board completely. By reaching out to Kim, Silver's partner in Cobra Kai, Kreese was able to get the dojo back on its feet again, complete with its own roster of students.Prior to Cobra Kai season 6 part 1, none were trained by Kreese, but still represent the founding principals of Cobra Kai, given that they're overseen by Kim Dae-Eun and Kim Sun-Yung, Kreese's karate mentor. Kreese is the one who has instilled his own particular brand of "fight" in them as they enter the Sekai Taikai. That said, not all of Kreese's students are new to him. In addition to Kwon, Kreese has Tory Nichols - who won him the championship in season 4 - back on his side. Tory is his female captain, with Kwon acting as his male captain. Four other students from Kim's dojo are also on the team to give them the full roster.

Team miyagi-do
Following all the speculation regarding how the merging of Eagle Fang Karate and Miyagi-do would affect the name of the dojo, it was finally decided in Cobra Kai season 6 part 1 that Johnny would simply join Miyagi-do in an official capacity. Ending theories that the two dojos would become "Miyagi-fang," all of Johnny's students now sport Miyagi-do gis, illustrating the complete dissolution of Eagle Fang Karate. As for their Sekai Taikai team, Mike Barnes helped them select a mix of Miyagi-do and former Eagle Fang students, with their final roster consisting of Miguel, Robby, Sam, Devon, Demetri, and Hawk. Sam and Robby serve as the female and male captains respectively. Tory was originally going to be on the team, but her beef with Daniel over not being able to finish her fight with Sam drove her back to Kreese, paving the way for Hawk to take her spot.Kenny likely would have been a member as well, but Devon's cheating cost him an opportunity to earn his way to the Sekai Taikai. Of course, when Miguel is forced to pull out of the tournament briefly in season 6 part 2, Kenny gets his chance to join the rest of the team in Spain, proving himself to be a great asset to them. The team is rattled by the familiar faces in the tournament and their own insecurities about one another, making it difficult for them to focus during the competition.

Team iron dragons
The only other team of fighters that gets even close to the same spotlight as the two central teams is the Iron Dragons. The team is from Hong Kong with Sensei Wolf giving commands in both English and Chinese to his students. The team is as aggressive as Cobra Kai and even more skilled. They are said to be the reigning champions. The main fighters spotlighted are the two team captains. Zara is a social media influencer who pretends to be a girl’s girl on camera, but is determined to take Tory down on the mat. Axel is physically abused by their sensei in order to get him to perform well for the team. He is seen as the perfect fighter by outsiders, but Sam LaRusso is one of the only people to see the truth in how he is treated. The rest of the team does not get the chance to make a big impression as they often yield in group fights to allow the captains to run the show. Of course, as season 6’s part 2 demonstrates, there’s even more to the Iron Dragons than meets the eye. Wolf isn’t just a sensei. He is also an underground cage fighter who is not afraid to break the law or take a life. He also happens to only be employed as a sensei for the Iron Dragons because Terry Silver bought the dojo and hired him to make the team as bloodthirsty as he is. By making Silver the person behind the Iron Dragons, the series brings all of the major players of the franchise back for the final season.

He develops an aggressive personality and becomes a bully, intimidating new students and his friend Demetri. He also develops a large back tattoo and a mohawk. Hawk is cocky and arrogant, and he exudes intimidation. He becomes more of a villain as the show progresses. He is manipulated by Kreese, Johnny's sensei, into behaving more aggressively. However, Hawk also has redeeming qualities, and he eventually switches to the Miyagi-Do dojo.

Generally kind and good-natured In karate for self-defense, friendship, and vibes Transforms from nerd to nearly-ninjaDemetri is a sarcastic and awkward person with low self-esteem. He considers himself a jaded realist but he actually has no confidence in himself. When Johnny embarrasses him on his second day at the Cobra Kai Dojo Demetri immediately quits. In season 6 of Cobra Kai, Demetri Alexopoulos is cruel and spiteful towards his friends and girlfriend. He has lost his humor and sympathetic qualities, and is only showing his less positive traits.
Kenny
In Cobra Kai season 6, Kenny's personality is characterized by a newfound maturity and resilience, showing a shift from the aggressive, vengeful "King Cobra" persona he had in previous seasons; he demonstrates a focus on personal growth, forgiveness, and self-acceptance, even when facing setbacks and betrayals, highlighting a more positive and empathetic side while still maintaining his competitive spirit. Kenny actively tries to move past past hurts and grudges, choosing to focus on improving himself rather than seeking revenge, particularly evident in his interactions with Devon. He recognizes his past mistakes and tries to learn from them, displaying a more mature understanding of his actions and their consequences. Despite facing challenges and setbacks, Kenny remains determined to prove himself and continue training, showcasing his resilience. Kenny shows a greater capacity for understanding other people's perspectives and is less quick to lash out, demonstrating a more balanced approach to conflict. While his aggression may be toned down, Kenny still retains his competitive spirit and desire to excel in karate, pushing himself to improve as a fighter.
Devon
In Cobra Kai season 6, Devon's personality is characterized by a strong sense of desperation and a willingness to resort to underhanded tactics to achieve her goals, particularly in securing a spot at the Sekai Taikai tournament, often coming across as selfish and even manipulative, as seen when she sabotages Kenny by putting laxatives in his water to gain an advantage; a stark contrast to her previously more principled character. She becomes overly fixated on proving herself and gaining recognition, often feeling overlooked despite achieving success, leading to a sense of entitlement. Her actions to sabotage Kenny, blaming Anthony instead, demonstrate a willingness to cheat and undermine others to get ahead. Devon frequently expresses dissatisfaction with her perceived lack of attention or validation, coming across as overly dramatic. She seems to seek constant approval from others, particularly from figures like Mike Barnes, even if it means compromising her own character.
John kreese
In Cobra Kai season 6, John Kreese is still a ruthless and unforgiving teacher who uses manipulation and intimidation to achieve his goals. Kreese is unforgiving of his students and views them as soldiers rather than martial artists. Kreese is a self-serving survivor who will throw anyone under the bus to survive. Kreese is bitter and uses his anger to manipulate his students. Kreese has a soft spot for Johnny Lawrence, which is a weakness that Terry Silver exploits.

In Cobra Kai season 6, Sensei Kim Da-Eun's personality develops from villainous to more sympathetic and redemptive. Hard exterior: Kim has a tough exterior, but she cares about her students. Fanatical: Kim is fanatical and ruthless, believing in the violence and mercilessness of Cobra Kai. Stoic: Kim is stoic and serious, and she's in charge of making sure her students are okay. Kim has a romance with Chozen, a Miyagi-do master, when they're both in Spain for the Sekai Taikai.
Tory Nichols
In Cobra Kai season 6, Tory Nichols is depicted as a conflicted and grieving character, returning to Cobra Kai due to her mother's death, leading to a more aggressive and vengeful persona, while still showing glimpses of a desire for redemption, often struggling with the manipulative influence of John Kreese and the desire to prove herself through fighting, particularly against Sam LaRusso. The primary driving force behind her actions is the recent loss of her mother, causing emotional instability and a tendency to lash out. Despite past conflicts with the dojo, Tory finds a sense of belonging and control by rejoining Cobra Kai, using its aggressive style to cope with her grief. While she can be ruthless and vengeful, there are moments where she shows remorse and a desire to do the right thing, highlighting her internal struggle. Tory is driven by a need to prove her strength and skill, particularly in her rivalry with Sam LaRusso, often leading to reckless decisions. John Kreese takes advantage of Tory's vulnerability, further reinforcing her negative traits and using her as a pawn to achieve his own goals.
Kwon
In Cobra Kai season 6, Kwon Jae-Sung is portrayed as a highly aggressive, ruthless fighter with a strong desire to prove himself, often bordering on violent and reckless due to his intense focus on winning at all costs, making him one of the most dangerous and lethal characters in the Cobra Kai dojo, particularly under the influence of Kreese's teachings; his personality is characterized by a deep-seated anger and a willingness to use brutal tactics to achieve victory. Kwon is obsessed with winning and sees every fight as an opportunity to prove his dominance, often going beyond the boundaries of fair play. He exhibits a propensity for aggression, readily resorting to brutal moves and showing little regard for his opponent's well-being. Kwon struggles to handle defeat, allowing his anger to fuel his actions and potentially cloud his judgment. While not explicitly stated, his dedication to the Cobra Kai dojo and Kreese's philosophy contributes to his aggressive fighting style. Kwon seems to crave validation and seeks to establish himself as the ultimate fighter through his actions in the Sekai Taikai tournament.
Yoon
In Cobra Kai season 6, Yoon Do-Jin is a character who is contrasted with Kwon, demoted, and accepts Tory into the dojang. Yoon is described by Kim Da-Eun as a very dedicated student. He follows every order to perfection and always gives his best efforts to win a fight. Because of how Disciplined and loyal Yoon is, he has also been shown to be one of the most polite and respectful Cobra Kai students ever seen.
Wolf
He seems highly egotistical, frequently berating Johnny, and even choosing to fight him during the brawl for pure sadistic pleasure. He is ruthless, abusive, and prideful. He shows great resentment towards Johnny who he views as a privileged American compared to himself who had to suffer through grief, and holds a personal grudge against Johnny because of this.
Terry Silver
In Cobra Kai season 6, Terry Silver is portrayed as a more ruthless and vengeful version of himself, still deeply obsessed with destroying Daniel LaRusso and seeking revenge against those who ruined his reputation, but also showing glimpses of a more calculated and manipulative strategy, often using others to achieve his goals, even resorting to exploiting vulnerable individuals like the Iron Dragon students to further his agenda against Daniel and Johnny. His primary motivation is to get back at Daniel and Johnny for exposing his crimes and ruining his life, leading to increasingly aggressive and destructive actions. Silver uses his wealth and charisma to influence others, like taking control of the Iron Dragons dojo to indirectly attack Miyagi-Do and Cobra Kai. While still prone to outbursts, Silver displays a more strategic approach, utilizing loopholes and exploiting situations to his advantage. Despite his facade of control, Silver's past trauma and obsession with karate can still lead to unpredictable and volatile behavior. He primarily cares about his own legacy and will use anyone or anything to achieve his goals, even if it means betraying allies.
Axel
Axel can be compared to a robot who follows orders to the end and does not feel anything in the process. This is why Demetri compared him to the Winter Soldier and Frankenstein reference. Similar to Yoon Do-Jin, Axel has never been able to think for himself.
Zara
Zara Malik takes a more manipulative stance as a villain, especially off the mat. Like her Iron Dragon captain counterpart, she is undefeated on the mat and shamelessly flaunts this with every win – flicking her hair and smiling at the camera.Zara exhibits a cocky and high-maintenance personality, often drawing attention to herself with her showboating and social media presence.Zara has shown multiple sides to her personality, such as her egotism when bragging about her invincibility on the mat to her fans online, to her ferociousness on the mat itself.
