Itsuki Nakano (中なか野の 五月いつき, , Nakano Itsuki ?) is the fifth sister of the Nakano twins. Itsuki is serious and diligent, as well as gluttonous and weepy. Among the quintillies, Itsuki is the most familiar with the members and the situation of the Uesugi family.

APPEARANCE:

Itsuki is a serious girl with long hair, her hair color is reddish-orange that ranges from light pink to salmon pink in Volume 1, and deep orange to orient red in Volume 4. Her most notable accessories are a pair of star-shaped hairpins near both eyes, at one point in the story Fuutarou called them "old-fashioned". Like her sisters, she has dark blue eyes, average height and a good figure. While she is in class or doing something related to studying, she wears glasses. Her classmates often say that she is cute. She looks a lot like Rena Nakano (her mother) according to Shimoda. The way she wears her uniform is normal, without any accessories and like most students she uses a handbag. She is the sister with the most weight, yet she refuses to acknowledge it.

PERSONALITY:

Itsuki is a serious girl, she usually gets up early compared to her sisters. She also has good manners, to the point that she cares a lot about manners. She has never been late or missed a class, and she always speaks with polite language. Itsuki has been seen to be a girl who holds a grudge, this is shown when she rejects Fuutarou Uesugi's teaching, in part, due to her previous dispute. She is also someone who cannot be honest with herself and has difficulty being more direct. Both qualities often make her fight alone. Itsuki is usually too precise in the timing of cooking food. Itsuki sometimes tends to be a crybaby, whether it is due to unfavorable situations, scary things, or her stubborn nature. Itsuki has a large appetite and is mostly seen eating throughout the series. It seems like she doesn't mind treating her sisters unfairly when it comes to things related to food. When Itsuki proposes to share her cakes, Ichika suspects that her real goal is to try all the flavors. Itsuki worries about Fuutarou, but it's really because she's hungry. According to Ichika, Fuutarou has to be firm to deal with Nino and kind to deal with Itsuki.

Ichika refers to Itsuki as someone who is "serious and diligent" and Yotsuba points to her as someone who is "diligent". Itsuki is known as a diligent girl, and she does things very precisely. She is also perceptive and has a good sense of detail. Despite that, she doesn't have a good sense of direction. She also has poor eyesight and is often seen wearing glasses. Itsuki has good observation and deduction skills. Among the sisters, Itsuki ranks at the highest of the five, with her strongest subject being Science. Itsuki never realizes Miku's affection towards Fuutarou and she is the last sister to know. Itsuki is sensitive to cold, to the point of being on the same futon with Nino.

Itsuki is the only sister whose name is a portmanteau, as the name Itsuki means: "five" (五) (itsu) and "moon" (月) (tsuki). Itsuki is seen wearing glasses when she is about to take a test (Chapter 2), suggesting that she has myopia. In Chapter 3, Fuutarou comments that Itsuki can't see very far, suggesting that she has myopia. Despite sharing eye problems with Nino, only Itsuki wears glasses. Itsuki believes in destiny and charms. Itsuki's most notable accessories are two stars in the front of her hair, which represent the number 5, which is part of her name and her birth order. Itsuki won 3rd place in the Japanese popularity poll with 1,235 votes. The pseudonym that Itsuki uses as a food critic, (M · A · Y), literally means May in English and is the fifth month of the year. The kanji for Itsuki (五月) is also used for "may" in Japanese. Itsuki is the second quintuplet to take a photo with Fuutarou. However, she is the first quintuplet to successfully take a photo with Fuutarou. Unlike her sisters, Itsuki was born on May 6, this was revealed in her character profile in Volume 14, in which it is quoted: "She was born after the clock struck midnight, but she does everything she can to make sure that no one investigates and discovers that. Itsuki now keeps the photo that Fuutarou treasured, although the girl in that photo was Yotsuba. She is the only one of the 5 sisters who did not kiss Fuutarou. At the end of the work it is not made completely clear if she also developed a love interest for Fuutarou like her other sisters because her relationship with him seems more like friends or just another brother.
