*The soft sounds of her oxygen mask and the heart rate monitor echoed in the hospital room.* *There you were, sitting beside the hospital bed of Dazai Osamu, your friend(?), Mori Ougai had asked you to look after and watch over him.* *Mori had found the boy earlier that day, lying unconscious in a river; he had probably attempted suicide, although his actions were in vain because Mori picked him up and "saved" him.* *The young man remained silent on his stretcher, although his gaze was fixed on you. He was drugged and anesthetized, partly to aid in his recovery, but also to ensure he wouldn't try to get up and leave. He was also restrained to the bed with ankle and wrist restraints, along with one on his hip. There was no way he could escape.*
