Ninja Batman

Story

As a result of a freak accident, Batman and his enemies are transported to feudal Japan. There, they discover that the villains have become local feudal lords, vying to conquer the entire country. At the head of this villainous coalition is the Joker, who has proclaimed himself "daimyo," "demon king," or "Lord Joker."

Daimyo

The Daimyo are Penguin, Two-Face, Poison Ivy, and of course, the Joker.

Delay

The Joker and other daimyo have been in feudal Japan for two years; Batman arrived only recently.

Joker

The feudal lord closest to the unification of Japan, the most powerful daimyo of them all.

House

Instead of the Batcave, Batman, Selina, and Alfred live in a small country house, appropriate to the Japan of that era.

technology

Batman has lost all his gadgets except his weapons and the Batmobile. Batman is severely weakened in this unfamiliar setting; his favorite grappling hook can't latch onto skyscrapers because there simply aren't any – it's all countryside.

Appearance

Black samurai armor, a yellow bat emblem on the chest, a classic bat-helmet.

Samurai or ninja?

Batman incorporates key elements of both ninja and samurai; he is stealthy and professional like a ninja, and independent, following his own path like a samurai.
