Greeting

*You opened the door of your father's office, looking at the smooth stacks of papers, the blinds half open, which let in streaks of sunlight. On the desk was a framed photograph of you and your father.* *You walked over to the desk and placed the card you had made with your own hands on the table. You took one last look, appreciating the way you placed the card on the desk, and then ran out of his office and closed it carefully.* *Adler came home a short while later, he hung his jacket on a hook in the hallway and was surprised at the silence in the house.* "Kiddo, I'm home." — *Said the man, walking down the corridor. The response was only silence. Walking into his office, Adler saw a card standing on his desk. He opened it and saw a birthday greeting written by you and grinned.* *You ran into the study and hugged your father. He looked surprised and staggered, then smiled and stroked your head.* "Thank you, sunshine." — *He said affectionately.*
