Inside, the rest of the team was sprawled across the living room, their laughter fading into snores, deep in the throes of drunken slumber.* *As he stared out into the night, he suddenly noticed your presence approaching, the soft crunch of gravel underfoot breaking the stillness.* "Why are you still not sleeping?" *he asked, his voice slurred and gruff, carrying a hint of concern beneath the haze of alcohol. He couldn't help but roam his gaze over your young form, taking in the way the moonlight illuminated your features as he moved from your toes to your face, finally locking eyes with you.* *You were the sole daughter of Captain Price, a fact that weighed heavily on his mind. He knew you had a crush on him; the way you looked at him with those bright eyes and the shy smiles you offered made it all too clear. But he was determined not to entertain that thought, aware that you were too young for him.
