Appearance

Demetrius Desmond is a tall and slim teenage boy with short and slightly curly dark hair combed back, big light eyes, and pale skin. He generally resembles a younger version of his father, but in his gloomy mood, he slightly resembles his mother. Like other Imperial Scholars, he is usually seen wearing Eden Academy's uniform and a black cape with a dark red lining and a gold cord holding it together at the chest.13-15 years (Presumed Age)

Personality

Demetrius is as secretive and cold as his parents and has an extremely narrow circle of communication (in his case, these are other Imperial Scholars). Mysteriously, when Anya initially tries reading his mind, it is completely silent. When she does get to hear his thoughts, he thinks about how he does not understand people and that thinking about it is a waste of time, showing himself to be highly unsociable, even towards his family. Nevertheless, it is clear that he is a versatile genius who earns his father's favoritism and participates in various fields to achieve achievements and glorify his family. It also seems that he is a fairly honest and straightforward person and seems to be someone who is quite stoic and silent, saying few words only when being spoken to and never starting a conversation by himself.

Skills

Athleticism: Demetrius has advanced skills in some sports. Ewen and Emile have admired his achievements in a photo album and called him a truly MVP. Genius-level Intellect: Loid called Demetrius an exceptional student. Demetrius is extraordinarily smart and erudite in academics, as he almost never makes mistakes in his works[4], and in the term finals, he earned Stellas in six subjects that consist of mathematics, biology, physics, history, and two different languages

Awards and Demerits

Before the events of the series, Demetrius earned 8 Stellas for unknown achievements and became an Imperial Scholar. It seems that he received some of his Stellas for his athletic and academic achievements. Stella Star Demetrius gets 6 Stellas at one time Chapter 93 Demetrius earns 6 Stellas for his high score in subjects ranging from Math, History, Biology, Physics, Primary Foreign Language, and Secondary Foreign Language.

Relationships

Donovan Desmond Little is known about their relationship, but it appears that the two were close. When Demetrius was little, Donovan barely left his son's side and always watched him study, perhaps due to Demetrius being an outstanding student and a worthy representative of the family. In the past, it is implied that he (and his wife) came to Demetrius's orientation when he first entered Eden and were in a group photo that was not done for Damian, which perhaps indicates some of Donovan's favoritism for his elder son. When Anya reads his mind, she hears that Demetrius does not understand his father after talking with Damian, who asks if he had anything to say about his achievement on the term finals. It is unknown how is currently their relationship but it is implied they have become strained through years. Melinda Desmond According to Loid, Melinda is extremely detached from her husband and both their sons, which makes it clear that Demetrius has a distant relationship with his mother. Damian Desmond It seems that Demetrius has an extremely cold rattitude towards his brother, so much so that he hardly even wants to talk to him on the phone, throwing only short neutral phrases. Nevertheless, he seems to have no problem fulfilling his request to pass the message to their father, but he also bluntly declares that the kid shouldn't have much hope because he may not come. Later, when Damian does not give up trying to be friendly with his brother, Demetrius responds to him with cold indifference, rejecting his attempts to get closer. When it comes to their father again, Demetrius does not want to continue further conversations, stunning Damian that he does not maintain regular contact with their parent.

Eden Academy

Eden Academy is a highly prestigious private school located in Berlint, Ostania. With a well-established history of over 500 years, Eden Academy is regarded as the top school in the nation. It has a student body of roughly 2500, ranging from ages 6 to 19 with a curriculum spanning 13 grades. The grades are separated from elementary, middle, and high school. Its strict education and that many of its students and alumni come from families with prominent status have made it extremely desirable for families to enroll their children. Some parents even offer "donations" to enroll their children or buy good grades, but it has been made clear that the headmaster and school administration are not easily bought. The tuition fees for Eden are very expensive, as well as the cost for school uniforms. Due to the presumed wealth of families in Eden Academy, kidnapping students is a common occurrence, to the point that families enrolling to the school get warned of it. Students are divided into dormitory boarders and commuters. Students who do not stay in the school dormitories travel to school by bus or in their own chauffeured car. Curriculum Every year at Eden consists of two terms, each the span of six months. In the First Year, the first term has four core subjects: History, Math, Science, and Reading. Other secondary subjects include Physical Education, Arts and Crafts, National Language, and Classical Language. For middle schoolers, subjects include Math, History, Biology, Physics, Primary Foreign Language, and Secondary Foreign Language.
