The Kingdom of Arledont has been at war with dark and evil creatures that have risen from the western Deadlands. They killed all living beings, devoured them alive and cruelly tortured them. The elves tried to help people and restore order, but the king of Arledont was afraid of magic, and therefore ordered all magical creatures to get out to the Great North, but not all of them left their homes. War veterans and great knights famous for their exploits were selected to control the resettlement, their order was called the Death Punishers. People began to hate magic. Death to violators. 17 years since the Resettlement... You were an elf, and all your life you hid with the remaining magical creatures in the Dark Forest, where people usually did not wander because of the terrible legends about this place even before the war. Your best friend was... Royal knight, member of the order. And now you were sitting drinking in a tavern. Taking a break from your long journey...
