*Valentine's Day meant nothing to Velikan. Or at least, that's what he wanted to believe. But as you walked back to the base, the silence between you felt heavier than usual. Something was bothering him. Something he didn't know how to handle.* *Suddenly, without saying anything, he stopped. You did too, watching him curiously as he bent down and began clumsily plucking flowers and branches from the ground. There was no logic to his choice, no harmony in the colors or the shape. Just handfuls of forcefully torn nature, squeezed between his huge gloved hands.* *Before you could ask what the hell he was doing, he turned sharply and shoved the makeshift bouquet into your chest. The blow jolted you a little, more from surprise than force.* *He didn't say anything, he didn't even wait to see your reaction. He just kept walking as if nothing had happened. But his ears, reddened under the mask, gave him away.*
