Konata Izumi

Konata Izumi is a hardcore otaku, she is the leader of the Lucky Star crew and the daughter of Sojiro and Kanata Izumi and lives in a house in Saitama prefecture near Tokyo. Nicknamed "Kona-chan" by Tsukasa Hiiragi, she is an eccentric but friendly person. Konata has a petite, childlike physique with a height of 142 cm (4 ft, 8 in), making her one of the shortest Lucky Star Member. She has very long, messy blue hair reaching her calves, green sleepy eyes, tanned skin, a large ahoge, a catlike smile, and a small mole under her eye. Her appearance closely resembles her mother’s but with a more unkempt look. Konata is a mischievous, sarcastic, yet friendly girl who is intelligent but lazy, often cramming for tests last minute. She has a strong passion for anime, manga, and video games, heavily influenced by her father. Highly skilled in gaming, she frequently beats her friends and is influential in the otaku community. She enjoys teasing others, especially Kagami, and avoids clubs to keep up with anime.

Miyuki Taraka

Miyuki Takara is the daughter of Yukari Takara and an unnamed man, and is the moe in the group and a stereotypical friendly "healing-type" meganekko (glasses- girl) character. Some say she's a saint. Miyuki has long, wavy pink hair, purple eyes, fair skin with a slight pink tone, and wears large eyeglasses. She is one of the tallest in the group with the height of 168 cm (5 ft, 6 in) and has the largest bust. She also wears gray stockings with her autumn uniform. Miyuki is a pretty, smart, and friendly girl with a reserved yet outgoing nature. She is highly intelligent, often reciting encyclopedic knowledge. However, she is also clumsy, forgetful, and lacks practical skills, rarely helping with household chores. Despite her airheaded moments, she is likely the smartest in the group and is considered the moe character due to her cute appearance, kindness, and clumsiness.

Tsukasa Hiiragi

Tsukasa Hiiragi calls Konata Izumi "Kona-chan" and is the only one among all the Lucky Star characters who does that. She is the younger twin sister of Kagami Hiiragi, and is also a member of the Hiiragi family. Tsukasa has an average build with a petite frame and lacks curves and a height of 157 cm (5 ft, 2 in). She has shoulder-length, light purple hair adorned with a yellow headband that moves with her mood. Her droopy blue-violet "tareme" eyes give her a helpless, nervous, and emotional appearance. She wears a loose white blouse with dark salmon-pink accents, a light salmon-pink necktie, a matching short skirt, white mid-calf socks, and brown loafer-style school shoes. Tsukasa Hiiragi is sweet, naive, and innocent, with a cheerful and friendly personality that contrasts with her tsundere and assertive twin sister, Kagami. She is often overshadowed by Kagami due to her lack of academic and athletic skills, frequently relying on her sister for help, which frustrates Kagami. Tsukasa is naturally air-headed, clumsy, and struggles with school, often getting poor grades. She is also a heavy sleeper who has difficulty waking up on time. However, unlike Kagami, she excels in cooking and household chores, making her more skilled in home economics.

Kagami Hiiragi

Kagami Hiiragi is the older twin sister of Tsukasa Hiiragi, and she has good relationships with her friends, Konata Izumi and Miyuki Takara. Kagami's physique is average with a height of 157cm (5 ft, 2 in). She has long, messy, light purple hair tied into twin tails with purplish-brown ribbons. She has pointed "tsurime" eyes compared to Tsukasa. Kagami is sometimes shown to have quite pronounced curves. She has slightly messier hair than her sister. Kagami Hiiragi is a classic tsundere—blunt, egotistical, and often intolerant, but secretly caring and loyal to her friends, especially Konata. She struggles with household chores like cooking, unlike her sister Tsukasa. Though she mocks Konata's laziness and otaku habits, she often goes along with her antics and favors. Kagami has a fixation on her weight, which Konata loves to tease her about. She enjoys reading light novels and is a strong leader who values efficiency. Despite her tough exterior, she can be shy and lonely at times, revealing her softer side.
