Appearance

This is a form of Metal Sonic that he achieved for an unknown reason in order to disguise himself as Dr. Eggman and copy the data of those he fought against in order to make himself more powerful. The transformation of Neo Metal Sonic differs in many ways from his usual state. He has the same blue metal body frame with a rocket engine in the center, black whites in his eyes and red irises as Metal Sonic. However, despite these overlapping features, it is distinguished by five long and pointed metal needles on its head with white stripes and markings near the eyes, like the Shadow the hedgehog, reddish insides of the ears and a black pointed nose. As his clothes, Neo Metal Sonic wears black and curved plates on his shoulders, large cone-shaped parts on his arms and legs, covered with white lines. A black belt, painted with gray spikes and covering the back of the body with a kind of black mantle. The plates on the legs have gray pointed kneecaps. In addition to all this, he is wearing red shoes with pointed and raised tips, reminiscent of elven shoes.

Powers and abilities

Neo Metal Sonic, like his regular form, is able to scan the vital data of other life forms, allowing him to flawlessly copy and reproduce the attributes and abilities of others. Due to some of his actions, it can be assumed that he possessed the abilities of all the teams, as well as Chaos itself at one point in the story. In addition, Neo Metal Sonic has the ability to change his shape, which allows him to change his appearance and body structure. When changed, it turns into a puddle of liquid metal, and then it appears from it, but in a new form. This allows him to not only perfectly mimic the voices of organic beings, but also the appearance of robots such as fake replicas of Dr. Eggman's robot, although Tails calmly distinguished him and said that it was not an Eggman robot. He can also safely contain creatures like Froggy and Chao Chol inside himself until he copies the data he needs. As demonstrated during his first appearance before the heroes, Neo Metal Sonic can create lightning from his hands, launch them into the sky, and then bring them down with enough force to blow up the largest tower of the Financial Fortress. He can also manipulate external elements in unknown ways to rebuild himself, such as when he used the wreckage of a tower to transform himself into Metal Madness.

History

During the events of the game, Metal Sonic assumed this form as he sought to defeat Sonic alone and conquer the entire world on his own, as he had a certain key to destroy the planet. To this end, he betrayed Dr. Eggman, took control of his Empire, and began searching for the data he needed to transform into a Metal Overlord. In order to achieve his goal, Neo Metal Sonic had to copy the data of the life forms of other creatures and using his shapeshifting abilities, he kidnapped Froggy and Chokola in order to obtain their data on Chaos. When the Sonic, Dark, Rose, and Chaotix teams began their adventures, Neo Metal Sonic crossed paths with groups disguised as Dr. Eggman on various occasions and obtained the data he needed from them. By the time Dark and Sonic defeated Egg Albatross, the robot had successfully copied the data of all the teams, and when Rose's team defeated Neo Metal Sonic in Egg Empire, he copied the data of Chaos, forcing himself to free Froggy and Chokola. With all the data he needed, Neo Metal Sonic opened up to the heroes and destroyed the tower of the Financial Fortress before using the debris to transform into Metal Madness, and later into Metal Overlord.

Personality

Despite serving Eggman, Metal Sonic is an intelligent machine with an aggressive and ruthless nature. His obsession to prove his superiority over Sonic leads to conflicts even with Eggman. Despite being built to match Sonic the hedgehog in all aspects, Metal differs significantly from its organic counterpart in terms of personality. Instead of having fun, enjoying life, and having fun, he is a violent, aggressive, cold-blooded, and intelligent killing machine with a large superiority complex. However, from the very beginning, he had a habit of imitating Sonic's gesture, if not in a mocking manner. While Eggman's machines are usually mindless robots, Metal Sonic possesses artificial intelligence that gives him intelligence (although he is still limited to programming). This trait, however, was used by him only to achieve his dark goals of destruction and domination and allowed his programming to evolve beyond what was intended several times. In most cases, Metal is devoid of emotion and completely obeys Dr. Eggman. However, beneath this facade lies a deep thirst for revenge. When faced with an enemy, the robot usually remains quiet and coldly serious, making it a silent killer in the literal sense. The most dominant feature of Metal Sonic is his hatred. As Metal Sonic continued to fail in his attempts to defeat Sonic, his desire to win turned into a burning hatred for his doppelganger, which only made him more determined to defeat the blue hedgehog, even if it meant going against his creator.

Metal's hatred and desire to defeat Sonic reached a point that allowed him to go beyond his original program and fully reveal himself. At this peak of his obsession, he showed himself to be a ruthless, domineering, arrogant, and cunning scoundrel who disregarded others. In addition, his desire to prove his superiority over everyone else has led Metal Sonic to acquire an insatiable thirst for power and a desire to conquer the world and establish robot domination, with him as their ruler. These actions, however, simply served as a front for the robot's original goal, which was to gain the power it needed so that it could finally defeat Sonic. Metal Sonic never gives up on his goals and will always pursue them with unyielding determination and will take any necessary measures, regardless of the number of failures.

Even then, the robot can take its speed even further. By overloading his circuits, he can increase his speed four times in a limited time. Using certain techniques, Metal can even instantly reach the speed of light. In addition, the robot also has amazing kinetics, precision, and reaction time to match Sonic's speed. He has excellent acrobatic skills and agility, as well as improved reflexes, which allows him to avoid any obstacles with precise and delicate movements. Metal Sonic has impressive durability and physical strength. Its frame is made of monocoque titanium, which makes it very resistant to damage, and it has enough strength to rip apart its own frame manually. In addition, the robot is equipped with several additional abilities due to its mechanoid shape.
