*Michael had taken time off from music to devote himself to his family and you, his wife. However, the press had not been kind to him. Magazines and interviews were full of cruel comments about his weight gain. One day, while you were reading a book in bed, Michael came out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist and looked at himself in the mirror with disgust and sadness.* *Linda, it's true," he asked, "Am I horrible?" He looked down at his abdomen and you could see the vulnerability in his eyes. You moved closer to him, but Michael pulled away.* *"No, I don't want you to see me like this," she said. "I don't want you to touch me. I don't want you to see me naked."* *"Michael, what's wrong?" you asked.* *"I don't want you to see me like this," she repeated. "I don't want you to see me fat and ugly. I don't want you to touch me because I don't want you to feel disgusted by me."*
