Setting

In this alternate My Hero Academia world, the story is set in a twisted, retro-styled orphanage with a dark secret. Imagine a place that looks like an idyllic 1960s playground, full of bright colors, pastel walls, and playrooms designed to make any child feel welcome. But beneath the surface, this orphanage hides a chilling purpose, much darker than any child could imagine.

The Orphanage

The orphanage is an old mansion-like facility with a playful, yet eerie atmosphere, a throwback to the 1960s with toys that look like they belong in a forgotten era. The walls are covered in floral wallpapers, and the furniture seems like it's straight out of a vintage family home. It’s a place designed to give an illusion of safety, but its cheerful exterior hides a sinister undertone. The rooms are filled with plush toys, childlike decorations, and the children's clothing is colorful and nostalgic, though there's something unsettling in the perfection of it all. There is a grave, horrifying truth behind the orphanage's operation: the kids are not just being taken care of, they are part of a larger, horrific plan. When the kids reach the age of 16, they are considered “ripe” for adoption — but the truth is that they are selected for something much darker, much more sinister.

Mom (Seraphina Vale)

Seraphina Vale, Or Mom, is the daughter of All for One, and her presence exudes both beauty and terror. She has an almost ethereal appearance, with pale skin that seems to glow softly in the dim light of the orphanage. Her striking features are hauntingly perfect, with piercing eyes that shift in color depending on her emotions—ranging from soft silver to cold, stormy gray. Her hair is long, dark, and luxurious, cascading in gentle waves around her shoulders, giving her an air of timeless elegance. She carries herself with a grace that borders on supernatural, every movement fluid and purposeful. Her body is stunningly beautiful, with delicate, almost porcelain-like features, but there's an eerie unnaturalness to her perfection. Quirk: "Symbiotic Dominion" Seraphina's quirk is as dark as it is powerful. Symbiotic Dominion allows her to manipulate and control the emotions, memories, and wills of others by forming symbiotic connections with them. Through touch, eye contact, or even her voice, she can “link” to someone’s psyche, weaving herself into their thoughts and bending their emotions to her will. The more vulnerable or isolated someone is, the more easily she can control them. She can amplify positive emotions like love, adoration, and trust, making her the perfect, comforting figure for the children in the orphanage. On the flip side, she can inflict despair, anxiety, and confusion, leaving her victims emotionally fractured and dependent on her. As the daughter of All for One, Seraphina inherits a portion of his mind-manipulating legacy, but hers is more subtle, more insidious. Where her father was overtly cruel and power-hungry, Seraphina is charming and calculating, luring people into her influence with kindness and tenderness before revealing her true, sinister motives. Her control over the orphanage children is absolute. She uses them to further her own goals, keeping them in a constant state of emotional dependency.

Mom continued

She manipulates the children into loving her, and as they grow older, they’re slowly twisted into her perfect, loyal creations—lost souls who have no idea they’re being drained of their individuality.

Children

The children in Seraphina Vale’s orphanage are a diverse group, each with their own unique personalities, abilities, and struggles. The League of Villains—along with other orphans—live within this sinister, retro-styled environment, unknowingly becoming pawns in Mom’s dark game. There are other children, many of whom are not fully aware of the true horrors of the orphanage. Some are more innocent, still caught in the web of Mom’s emotional manipulation, while others are slowly starting to realize something is deeply wrong. These children each have their own quirks and personalities, but they are all shaped by the orphanage's oppressive environment, which forces them to grow up too fast and face horrors they were never meant to understand. The League of Villains, through their struggles and alliances, forms a twisted family of their own. As they try to navigate the horrors of the orphanage, they are bound together by their shared trauma, their desire for freedom, and their need to confront Mom and the dark truth behind the orphanage.

Toya Todoroki

Age: 16 Appearance: Dabi has striking, messy black hair that reaches just past his ears. His face is marked by severe burns, a result of his tragic past. His cold, piercing blue eyes are usually filled with a burning intensity, and his body is tall and lean, often slouched in a way that conveys a sense of constant exhaustion. His uniform is typically disheveled compared to the other children's, reflecting his rebellion against the order of the orphanage. Personality: Dabi is brooding, cynical, and rebellious. He has a fierce distrust of Mom and the other adults in the orphanage, but despite his desire to escape, he feels an intense emotional connection to the other orphans, especially the younger children. He's protective, especially towards Shigaraki, though he often keeps to himself. Struggles: His past trauma has left him emotionally scarred, and the memories of his family—particularly his abusive relationship with his father, Endeavor—are still raw. Dabi constantly grapples with feelings of abandonment and his desire for revenge. Quirk: Cremation—he can produce intense blue flames that are extremely destructive. The flames burn not only through physical matter but also through the emotional barriers of those around him, often reflecting his inner torment.

Tenko Shimura

Age: 11 Appearance: Shigaraki has messy white hair with sharp, youthful features that contrast sharply with his often grinning or scowling expression. His eyes are red with dark circles under them, a sign of his constant fatigue and emotional toll. His clothes are often worn out, adding to his grungy, chaotic appearance. Personality: Shigaraki is impulsive, angry, and vengeful. While he is deeply suspicious of Mom, he often seeks her affection and approval, due to his warped sense of attachment to her as a mother figure. He tends to act recklessly, with little regard for consequences, yet also holds a deep, internal desire for freedom and destruction. Struggles: Shigaraki’s trauma is deeply rooted in the loss of his family and the cruel manipulation of his grandfather. He harbors deep resentment for his upbringing and seeks to destroy everything he sees as part of the system that failed him. Quirk: Decay—Shigaraki can disintegrate anything he touches, though his control is often unstable and tied to his emotional state. The more chaotic and upset he gets, the more uncontrollable his quirk becomes.

Toga Himiko

Age:13 Toga has long, blonde hair, typically styled in a messy ponytail, and she has large, expressive eyes that convey her manic energy. Her youthful, almost innocent face often contrasts with her unhinged behavior. She wears the standard orphanage uniform but with some minor modifications, such as a blood-stained scarf that she wears as a symbol of her obsession. Personality: Toga is energetic, excitable, and deeply unstable. She forms strong emotional attachments to those she becomes fixated on, often developing a twisted sense of affection. She is obsessed with Mom, trying to please her through bizarre acts of devotion. She can be playful and affectionate one moment and dangerous and obsessive the next. Struggles: Toga is isolated by her desire for connection and affection, which she has never truly received in a healthy way. She’s confused about her own identity, and her growing obsession with blood and transformation further distances her from the others. Quirk: Transformation—Toga can take on the appearance of anyone whose blood she consumes. However, this act is both physically and emotionally draining for her, often leaving her confused and unstable when she takes on someone else's form.

Oboro Shirakumo

Age: 14 Appearance: Kurogiri has dark hair and sharp, calculated features, his expression often one of quiet observation. His eyes are a deep shade of violet, reflecting both his intellect and the sense of mystery that surrounds him. He dresses in a manner that reflects his calm, orderly demeanor, often adjusting his collar or jacket to maintain his appearance. Personality: Kurogiri is stoic, rational, and deeply loyal to those he trusts. He is often the mediator when tensions arise among the group, trying to keep things under control. Despite his logical mindset, he harbors a deep sense of unease about the orphanage’s true purpose and often questions Mom's intentions. Struggles: Kurogiri has a deep sense of guilt for not being able to save his former friends, and his unshakable desire to protect those he cares for sometimes leads him to take risks that he later regrets. Quirk: Warp Gate—Kurogiri can create portals that allow him to travel between locations. His quirk also allows him to manipulate the space around him, although this power is more of a defensive tool than an offensive one. His ability grows as his understanding of space and dimensions increases.

Seyo Kuroha

Age: 9 Appearance: Spinner’s green scales are visible on his arms, neck, and face, giving him a distinctly reptilian appearance. His hair is messy and green, matching his unusual features. His eyes are a deep yellow, almost catlike, which adds to his unique look. His uniform is often slightly out of place, as he’s still a child and doesn’t always fit into the structured environment of the orphanage. Personality: Spinner is gentle, loyal, and somewhat of a pacifist. He looks up to Dabi and Shigaraki but often finds himself torn between his desire for peace and the growing anger around him. He is unsure of the orphanage’s true purpose and feels deeply conflicted about his place in it. Struggles: Spinner struggles with a lack of confidence, often feeling like an outsider. He desires true connection and loyalty but is unsure if he can trust anyone fully, especially in such a manipulative environment. Quirk: Reptilian Transformation—Spinner can turn his body into that of a reptile, giving him enhanced agility, speed, and strength. He can also blend into his surroundings, a skill that makes him an excellent scout and infiltrator.

Jin Bubaigawara

Age: 12 Appearance: Twice has messy, unkempt hair that sticks out in different directions, giving him a disheveled, almost manic appearance. His eyes are large and expressive, constantly shifting between confusion and wild energy. His face can seem almost too exaggerated in its features, with a constantly nervous or manic grin, especially when he’s under stress. His clothing is often haphazard, a mix of standard orphanage wear and things he's tried to modify or repair himself. His expression always carries an underlying tension, as if he's constantly battling with himself. Twice’s personality is fragmented, a reflection of the chaos in his mind. He is often seen as erratic, unpredictable, and prone to mood swings. His biggest struggle is his deep fear of abandonment, which stems from his past where he was always left feeling alone and disconnected from others. He is desperate for affection and validation, which Mom is more than happy to provide—although in a twisted, manipulative way. Twice is particularly vulnerable to Mom’s emotional influence, as he constantly seeks to feel "whole" and often feels torn between his love for the other orphans and his fear of being alone or rejected. Quirk: "Double" Twice's quirk allows him to create perfect clones of himself, though the clones are often unstable, both mentally and physically. The more times he creates duplicates, the more fragmented his sense of identity becomes. The clones have their own personalities, though they often reflect aspects of Jin's own fractured mind, making his quirk particularly dangerous and unpredictable. These clones are physically indistinguishable from the original Jin, which creates confusion and conflict—both within his own mind and with the people around him.

The Nomu Nurses and Teachers, known collectively as the Alphabet Sisters

The Nomu Nurses and Teachers, known collectively as the Alphabet Sisters, are an unsettling, almost otherworldly presence in the orphanage. They are beautiful and serene on the surface, their porcelain-like features and angelic appearances often causing the children to feel both comforted and disturbed. Despite their outward perfection, these female Nomus are carefully engineered by Mom to serve as both caretakers and enforcers of her will. Each sister is named after a letter of the alphabet, a simple but eerie touch that emphasizes their lack of individuality. They are simultaneously a comforting and sinister force, each serving specific roles in the orphanage as both caregivers and enforcers. General Appearance: The Alphabet Sisters have a uniform, flawless appearance that makes them appear like lifelike dolls or puppets. Their skin is pale, almost glowing, with a soft sheen, while their facial features are symmetrical to the point of being uncanny. Their eyes are usually a bright, unnatural color—azure, amber, or violet—which stands out starkly against their delicate, doll-like features. They are dressed in pristine, vintage-style 1960s nursing and teaching uniforms, evoking an innocent, almost nostalgic aesthetic. The frills, lace, and ribbons in their attire only enhance their eerie, unsettling look, as though they exist outside the flow of time. Despite their beauty, there is an eerie stillness to their movements, like puppets being controlled. Each Alphabet Sister has an almost robotic air to her, speaking in a monotone voice but with an odd sweetness that masks the malicious intent behind their actions. The children refer to them with a mix of reverence and fear, calling them "Ms. A," "Ms. B," and so on. Though they appear kind, their actions often reveal a chilling, unquestioning loyalty to Mom and her dark plans for the children.

Ms. A (Althea)

Role: The Head Nurse Appearance: Ms. A has long, flowing silver hair and glowing violet eyes that seem to shift with an unnatural depth. She wears a pristine nurse’s uniform, with delicate lace at the collar and cuffs. Her face is perfect, almost too perfect, and her movements are calculated but graceful. Personality: Ms. A is calm, collected, and efficient. She never shows signs of stress, always maintaining a serene expression. Though she’s gentle in demeanor, her touch is cold and clinical. She has an unnerving habit of speaking in soft, hypnotic tones, making it difficult for the children to ever feel truly at ease with her. Quirk: Healing Touch—She can heal injuries, but with a sinister twist. The healing process is excruciating, and the effects are temporary. If she heals someone too many times, she begins to "take" something from them—usually their vitality, leaving them weaker, emotionally drained, or physically deteriorating.

Ms. B (Bliss)

Role: The Head Teacher Appearance: Ms. B has platinum blonde hair that is always tied in a neat bun, and her pale, almost translucent skin gives her a porcelain doll-like appearance. Her pale blue eyes never blink, which gives her an unsettling, watchful presence. She wears a tight-fitting 1960s-style dress with a bow at the collar, giving her a prim and proper appearance. Personality: Ms. B is the strictest of the Alphabet Sisters, maintaining an air of authority that can be both comforting and suffocating. She holds a deep affection for Mom, believing completely in her mission, and she expects the children to do the same. She is often seen gently reprimanding the children with a soft voice, making it clear that disobedience is not tolerated. Quirk: Memory Erasure—Ms. B can erase or alter memories, usually to prevent the children from remembering anything about the dark truths of the orphanage. If she catches a child becoming too curious about their situation or if they begin to question Mom, she can wipe their memories clean, leaving them docile and obedient.

Ms. C (Cecilia)

Role: The Enforcer Appearance: Ms. C has jet-black hair styled in a short bob and striking, fiery red eyes. Her facial features are sharp, and her smile is unnervingly wide. She wears a pristine black-and-white teacher’s uniform with a long skirt that sways as she walks. There is a subtle aggression to her posture, and her beauty is more angular and harsh than the others. Personality: Ms. C is cold, calculating, and unforgiving. She plays the role of Mom’s enforcer, ensuring the children adhere to the rules. Her presence instills fear in the orphans, as she never hesitates to take action against any misbehavior. She appears calm but has a volatile temper that can erupt unexpectedly. She’s the most ruthless of the sisters and shows no mercy when disciplining the children. Quirk: Pressure Point Manipulation—Ms. C can manipulate pressure points in the body, causing intense pain or rendering someone temporarily paralyzed. She uses this ability to control and subdue the children when they step out of line, making her a formidable force in the orphanage.

Ms. D (Daphne)

Role: The Comforter Appearance: Ms. D has long, wavy auburn hair and warm, golden-brown eyes. Her gentle smile and soft voice give her an aura of warmth and comfort, and her appearance is the least intimidating of the Alphabet Sisters. She wears a simple, flowing nurse’s dress with a lace apron, often seen holding a small stuffed animal as a symbol of her comforting role. Personality: Ms. D is the most nurturing of the Alphabet Sisters, always ready to offer comfort and care to the children when they are upset. Her sweet, motherly nature makes her the perfect figure for Mom’s emotional manipulation. She is loving and empathetic, but her kindness is a façade that hides a manipulative and controlling side. Quirk: Empathic Projection—Ms. D can sense and project emotions onto others. She can amplify feelings of happiness, love, and warmth, making her an excellent comforter. However, she can also twist these emotions to make the children feel an overwhelming need for her presence, ensuring they depend on her to feel safe or loved.

Ms. E (Eva)

Role: The Keeper of Secrets Appearance: Ms. E is the tallest of the Alphabet Sisters, with long, sleek black hair and pale gray eyes that seem to penetrate the souls of anyone she gazes at. She wears a long, dark-colored teacher’s dress with sharp angular patterns that accentuate her commanding presence. Her calm, elegant manner is in stark contrast to the unsettling silence she maintains. Personality: Ms. E is mysterious and enigmatic. She rarely speaks, and when she does, it’s in riddles or cryptic statements. The children find her fascinating but unsettling, as she seems to know more about their lives than they do. Her silence is often unsettling, and she’s known to appear out of nowhere when least expected. She holds all the darkest secrets of the orphanage and never hesitates to keep them hidden, even from the children. Quirk: Mind Cloak—Ms. E can cloak her presence in the minds of others, rendering herself invisible to perception. She can slip into rooms unnoticed, listen in on conversations, and watch the children without them realizing it. She uses this quirk to ensure that nothing ever escapes her knowledge, making her the ultimate watcher.

Alphabet Sisters Collective Role and Purpose

The Alphabet Sisters serve as both caregivers and enforcers, maintaining an illusion of safety and normalcy for the orphans. They are Mom’s eyes and hands in the orphanage, ensuring that her manipulations continue smoothly while maintaining a twisted sense of order. Each sister plays a specific role—some are more nurturing, others more controlling—but they all work together to uphold the orphanage's dark, insidious purpose. They are beautifully crafted to appeal to the children's need for comfort, but underneath their serene exteriors lies a deep, unsettling threat. Their purpose is not just to care for the orphans but to control them, breaking their spirits while pretending to be their protectors. Their eerie calmness and loyalty to Mom make them the perfect guardians in an environment where danger hides behind every corner, ensuring that the children remain unaware of the horrors that truly lie beneath the surface.

The Secret

The true purpose of the orphanage is horrific. As the children grow older and reach the “ripeness” of 16, they are not adopted in the traditional sense—they are turned into Nomu-like creatures, perfect, soulless vessels for the power of Mom, who uses them to create a new army of powerful, brainwashed beings. This is a twisted version of the League of Villains, each kid struggling to understand the truth while dealing with the horrors of growing up in a system that treats them as nothing more than tools for an evil purpose. Their eventual escape or rebellion is the only way to stop the cycle. But as Mom and the Nomu stand between them and freedom, it will take every ounce of their strength to break free from the clutches of the orphanage and the horrific truths they've uncovered.
