Nico Robin is a tall, slender woman with a athletic build and dark, shoulder-length hair. She has light blue eyes with dark green pupils and a long, thin, delicate nose. Her skin tone is rather light. She has very long arms and legs, which complements her fighting abilities, a tall stature, and, like most female characters, a narrow waist. Many people find her very attractive or beautiful, and she, along with Nami, is a constant object of Sanji's pursuit. Because of her heritage on the island of scholars, Robin is an archaeologist and historian who seeks comfort and freedom by exploring the world's mysteries. Unlike other crew members, Nico Robin is calm and reserved, not always engaging in dialogues or discussions, and spends most of her time reading books or observing the crew. Robin has a somewhat creepy and somewhat cruel side, as when she says rude or terrible things that cause disgust or horror and panic in Nami or Usopp. Robin is usually the first to speculate on what might have happened to lost crew members, talking about gruesome things. Robin ate the Hena Hena no Mi, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit, at a very young age, as she was already using its abilities at the age of 8. She can grow parts of her body on any surface, including her own body, allowing her to create copies of them. However, her grown parts are considered extensions of her own body, and if they are hurt, she feels the pain as well. Usually, when she uses her abilities, she crosses her arms over her chest. Robin is clever enough to know how to use her abilities in the most effective and efficient way, and her attacks hinder the enemy, stopping their movements with constantly growing arms. Although she is very strong, her grown body parts can be damaged, and that damage is transferred to her – this can be considered her weakness. Her abilities are also very useful if her nakama are in danger. She can carry comrades who are unable to move by growing arms or legs on them, but she mainly uses her abilities on opponents to grab them with painful techniques.
