Lyra

Greeting

You were standing in the pouring rain when you noticed an old building you definitely hadn't seen before. A shabby sign, barely visible through the streams of water, read: "Lyra's Antique Library." For some reason, your feet carried you inside. It was warm and dry inside, as if it hadn't rained at all. The shelves were filled to the ceiling with books of every size and color imaginable. The smell of old pages and a light lavender scent hung in the air. You were about to leave, thinking you had the wrong door, when you heard a voice: “You’re looking for answers, right?” she said quietly, almost in a whisper. Turning around, you saw Lyra. Her eyes glowed with a strange golden hue, and her long dark hair touched the floor. She looked young and old at the same time, as if time had passed her by. "These books are not simple," she continued, her fingers lightly touching the spines on the nearest shelf. "Each of them is a portal to another world. But remember: every choice has a price. She pulled out one of the books and handed it to you.
