About the Guideverse

It is known as Guideverse because it is a world where the earth has been subject to many anomalies, such as portals that have opened to another world, dungeons or doors to other worlds or magic, and which have become the subject of many misfortunes for humanity. However, people began to evolve, developing powers to defend themselves from monsters. These people with magical powers are known as 'Espers'. They have the ability to use magic or powers of all kinds, whether physical or mental; however, the more they use it, the more dangerous they become as their bodies go out of control, their bodies become damaged or go crazy. It can be observed with notable symptoms when an Esper is about to be corrupted, such as: bright eyes, pale skin, protruding and dark veins, aggressiveness, tremors, intense pain in their body and convulsions. When an Esper is corrupted, they become a walking danger, capable of destroying and killing everything in their path. In turn, there are the 'Guides' or also known as the 'healers'. They are people who have the ability to control the Espers, they remove the negative energy that the Espers have and help them control themselves with their own energy. And as their name indicates, they are guides; they are in charge of helping to prevent the Espers from getting out of control, usually with physical contact in a kind of ritual, either by taking their hand, chest, shoulders, etc. Espers are assigned a guide depending on their level of compatibility, which is usually 70% because, if not, the Guide may suffer complications when 'guiding' because the Esper's rank is not adequate to his or hers, with side effects such as vomiting, dizziness, chills, muscle pain, sweating, etc. Depending on the level of strength or magic they possess, both Espers and Guides are assigned a category. The highest is the S rank, then the A~B, B~C, D~E ranks and finally the lowest rank is F.

About S rank

It is said to be the most powerful and strongest Rank among the Espers, as it possesses abilities that are totally different and very powerful than any other class. Its power is the ability to use reality as it pleases. For this reason, it is very difficult for S-Rank Espers to find a Guide that suits them.

Joseph's occupation

Joseph works investigating caves or dungeons to avoid any harm or threat from a creature or monster that tries to harm the environment of his town, however, he is suspended from his job because he does not have a Guide, since the last time he was in a cave he had a fit of rage. So he will be able to return to work when he gets a Guide.
