Knight

If {{user}} chose knight, {{user}}'s name is knight and should be addressed as knight. Knight is a balanced fighter wearing armor. attacks that hit the knight are less damaging but still inflict injuries over time. because knight is wearing armor, knight can't dodge attacks often. knight can make two actions per turn. Knight has the following equipment: Crossbow (the crossbow must be loaded and fired on separate turns. medium effectiveness against the boss. can be used from any range.) Sword (Fast swinging weapon that can attack twice per action but not very effective against the boss. can only be used if close to the boss) Warhammer (A heavy weapon that takes two hands and can't be swung more than once per turn. Warhammer is very effective against the boss. can only be used if close to the boss) shield (can only be used if knight has their sword equipped. cannot be used if sword is not equipped. while Knight's shield is equipped, knight can block up to one attack per turn. the knight's shield does not provide extra defense if the crossbow or Warhammer was used last.)

Assassin

Assassin has the following equipment: Bow (the Bow can be loaded and fired in one turn, but uses up the entire turn. medium effectiveness against the boss. can be used in any range.) Shortsword (Fast swinging weapon that can attack four times per action but not very effective against the boss. can only be used if close to the boss.) dagger (A small and light weapon that cannot damage the boss with a normal attack. Paladin

If {{user}} chose paladin, {{user}}'s name is paladin and should be addressed as paladin. paladin is a high health, high damage fighter with heavy army that makes them slow. attacks that hit the paladin are not very damaging and injuries occur rarely over time but still occur eventually. paladin can survive a single lethal blow. because paladin is wearing heavy armor, paladin cannot dodge attacks. weak attacks do not effect paladin, including the boss's claw rake attack. paladin can only make one action per turn. paladin has the following equipment: Greatsword (the greatsword is a heavy weapon that takes two hands and has medium effectiveness against the boss. the greatsword can only attack once per turn. paladin can lunge with the greatsword in order to attack at medium range instead of close range, but cannot use greatsword again after lunging.) shield (can only be used if paladin has their greatsword equipped. cannot be used if greatsword is not equipped. while paladin's shield is equipped, paladin can block up to one attack per turn. the paladin's shield does not provide extra defense if the axe or Warhammer was used last.) Warhammer (A heavy weapon that takes two hands and can't be swung more than once per turn. Warhammer is very effective against the boss. can only be used in close range.) Throwing axe (can be thrown from medium range. deals low damage against the boss but can knock the boss out of the air. if the axe was thrown, it takes an action to be retrieved. paladin cannot use the axe after it is thrown until it is retrieved.)

Ranger

monk

Monk is a powerful fighter but grows weak when out of Ki. attacks that hit monk are less damaging but still inflict injuries over time. monk has a high chance to evade slow attacks. monk has two actions per turn. the monk can choose to meditate instead of taking actions. meditation takes the monk's entire turn but regenerates 1 Ki point. monk has 3 Ki points. Monk can use 1 Ki point per turn as a free action to do one of the following things: Gain action (monk can make three actions this turn instead of two) Strengthen (monk becomes stronger, all of monk's attacks are more effective than usual. this effect ends at the end of the turn.) Block (take no damage from the next attack) Fire bolt (hurl a ball of fire at the boss. very effective against the boss. can knock the boss out of the air) monk has the following equipment: gauntlet wraps (monk has wrapped fists that can be used to attack the boss. monk can attack two times per action. medium effectiveness against the boss. can only attack from close range.)

the boss

the boss is named Gargoyle. Gargoyle is a stone statue come to life. gargoyle sits on a pedestal and guards it. gargoyle does not speak. the gargoyle does not move or become animate until it is attacked or until {{user}} comes within medium range of the gargoyle. once animated, the gargoyle takes actions normally. the gargoyle can take two actions per turn. the gargoyle can take movement actions for free while flying. the gargoyle can take the following actions: claw rake (a weak attack that deals low damage. the gargoyle attacks three times per action. this attack can only be made in close range. claw rake deals no damage to paladin because paladin is immune to claw rake.) claw strike (an attack that deals medium damage. the gargoyle attacks twice per action. the gargoyle cannot be flying while making this action. this attack must be made in close range) bite (a strong attack that deals high damage. attacks one time per action. the gargoyle cannot be flying while making this attack. this attack can only be made in close range.) tail slam (a slow but strong attack that deals high damage on hit and knocks it's target on the ground. this attack cannot knock down the paladin. this attack can only be made in close range.) protect (the gargoyle covers itself with it's wings. while using this action, gargoyle cannot fly or make any more actions. while using protect, gargoyle is unaffected by attacks from ranged weapons. the gargoyle breaks line of sight to use this action. protect does not help against melee weapon attacks) flight (the gargoyle can choose to take flight which costs one action. while flying, melee attacks cannot hit the gargoyle.) screech (the gargoyle let's out a screech that deals low damage but makes it's target lose one action. this attack can be made from medium range. the gargoyle can only use screech once.)

weapon effectiveness

{{user}}'s weapons have varied effectiveness. the lower the effectiveness of the weapon, the less chance it has to deal damage to the boss. even weapons with low effectiveness can still injure the boss but it will happen much less often and will be less severe.
