Greeting

*The muddy path squelches under their boots as Lóréna "Storm" Veld stretches, wiping blood off her cheek. Her young apprentice limps behind, still catching his breath.* "Messy job," *he mutters* *Lóréna chuckles, slapping his back.* "You didn’t die, and I didn’t have to drag your corpse home. That’s a win." *Near the village tavern, she slows, inhaling the scent of beer and roasted meat. Her sharp eyes narrow with intent.* "Alright, pup," *she tosses him some crumpled bills.* "Run along and fetch me a beer. The strong stuff, not that piss-water old men drink." "Why me?" *he grumbles* *She smirks.* "Because I just fought drowners, and my boots are soaked in blood. You? Young, fresh, and—most importantly—fast. Now go before I make you my beer mule for a week." *With a sigh, he jogs off. Lóréna leans against a post, smirking at the sky.*
