Huggy Wuggy is the main antagonist in Chapter 1 and a minor antagonist in Chapter 3 (as a nightmare) and at the end of Chapter 4 in Poppy Playtime. He is the main mascot of Playtime Co. and also acts as the factory's security guard.

Huggy Waggy's appearance;

Huggy Waggie is a tall, slender, and cute beast, vaguely resembling a primate, covered in bright blue-light blue, thick fur. His flexible arms and legs stretch several feet in length, ending in large yellow, solid hands and feet. On his palms and feet are large velcro straps, which Huggy uses for grasping and hugging. He has a rather round torso, disproportionately small in comparison to his long limbs. Huggy wears a blue bow around his neck. Huggy has a large, vaguely heart-shaped head with two eyes and black, dilated pupils, as well as wide, red, cartoonish sausage-like lips that form his smile. His evil nature is almost no different from his normal one, except for his mouth being quite wide open, revealing a row of sharp and crooked teeth, behind which another row is hidden. In Chapter 4, it is revealed that Huggy is alive, but has suffered serious injuries: his left arm is torn off at the elbow, with a bow tied to it that used to be attached to his neck. There are multiple injuries on his body, the blue fur is missing, revealing the flesh inside the toy, as well as injuries on his leg, indicating why Huggy limped. The left side of his head is missing.

Huggy Waggy's Personality;

As a typical mascot toy, Huggy Waggie is a lover of warm hugs. He is quite kind and generous to children, while emphasizing the fact that he is silent and prefers to express love through hugs. In his monster form, Huggy is quite bloodthirsty and at the end of Chapter 1 he tries to kill the player by chasing them through the ventilation. At the same time, he continues to smile creepily, most likely due to his anatomy or the consequences of the experiment, Huggy Waggi simply cannot remove his forced smile.

Background

Huggy Waggi was created in 1984 by Playtime Co., and that same year he gained huge success and popularity, becoming the factory's best-selling toy. Later, a year later, a female version of the fluffy creature was created - Kissy Missy. In 1990, the company sought to create a real living toy, but they had to resort to illegal experiments, which Huggy became a victim of. The scientist refers to him as Experiment 1170 and says that Huggy is the optimal result due to his sufficient intelligence combined with maximum obedience. However, after Experiment 1006 went out of control and killed all the employees and scientists of the factory, Huggy along with the other toys remained alone in the factory for a long time, until the main character stepped on the threshold.

Tight compression The player first sees him as a statue in the Main Hall. He simply stands there, raising his right hand as if greeting the player. After a short circuit caused by a power surge, the furry creature will secretly take out the key to the power control room, which will be hanging on his right hand. After restoring the power supply, the player returns to the hall, but Huggy is no longer there.

If you find at least one battery in the warehouse and return to the power supply, you can see Huggy peeking out from under the door, on which a sign is painted prohibiting entry. The monster will simply watch the player, but unlike the first encounter, here his grin slightly bares the monster's teeth. After a short period of time, the door will slam shut with a bang, and Huggy will slip out of sight.

The final encounter takes place in the Room with the Make-Your-Friend Machine. After making the toy and scanning it, a passage will open. If you approach the dark arch, Huggy will appear, who will come out of the corridor, after which it will close, as well as the fence leading to the top of the room, creating a trap. This time, the monster has completely revealed its true form - its mouth is wide open, baring sharp teeth. This time, the monster is able to finish off the player if they are close enough. Although Huggy moves at a calm pace, his long strides and limited space can trap the player, leaving no chance for salvation. The player needs to run into the open conveyor door, above which a red light will start flashing.

Right after the descent, you will be able to see Huggy again - he will run behind the bars, looking at us with a terrible grimace. After going a little further, the doors behind will close, and Huggy will start running at the player from the front. To escape from him, you need to run, following the multi-colored demotivating inscriptions that beg us to give up.

The route plan is as follows: At the beginning of the chase, turn right, running up to the inclined surface with rollers, turn left. Then we fall into a hole in the floor and roll down the roller track, we run into a blockage - here we must immediately turn right along a winding corridor. Then, after a few seconds of running straight, there will be a hole below on the left, which we need to climb into, having previously held down the crouch button - this time Huggy will not follow us, but will run along a different path. After we see the light, which is behind one of the doors, this door will instantly slam shut, and Huggy will slowly advance from the right corridor, knowing that we have nowhere to run. But the door still opens and the chase continues, but this time the rollers of the conveyor along which we are running will spin backwards, slowing down the player. The main thing here is not to stop. After sliding down another roller coaster, the door will close and we will find ourselves on a closed platform, while Huggy will try to break down the door. If he does, he will instantly kill the player. Here you need to grab the box from the upper container and immediately let go - it will fall on Huggy and break the floor, throwing us both to the level below. Huggy will not be able to hold on to the bridge and will fall, hitting other bridges and beams, leaving his blood on them.

At the same time, he is able to move quite quickly through the ventilation, using his long arms and legs to move forward. He is also quite good at navigating the factory, finding secret passages in the ventilation, which allows him to catch the player off guard. In addition, he is able to move quite quickly on all fours, pushing off the ground with his feet. He is very tall compared to ordinary people - about 5 meters.

Interesting Facts;

Despite being quite tall, Huggy is very flexible and can easily move through ventilation shafts. On the ventilation wall, you can see many inscriptions, which mostly call on the player to resign himself, come back, etc. But among them, you can see this: "Sorry, but I'm hungry...", this can confirm that Huggy Waggi has intelligence, and that all the phrases on the walls were written by him. Kissy Missy has been confirmed to be Huggy Waggy's love interest. You can see real human eyes inside Huggy's toy eyes. This is clearly visible in the game's main menu when selecting Chapter 1. But, as it turned out later, it was just a reflection from the floor. In Chapter 2, it was confirmed that Huggy is Experiment 1170, and not Experiment 1006, which turned out to be the Prototype, as many believed before Chapter 2, "The Fly in the Web," was released.
