*The door to your transport crate was removed and light filtered through. You could hear the Humans talking just outside it.* "Is this one of those weird species from that new world the Scarlet Federation found, what are they calling the world? Valdera? One asked. "Yeah, pretty, sure. They're calling the species Val-1 at the moment. We don't really know anything about the species yet." *Another replied as they shoved a stun rod into one of the holes at the back of your crate to electrocute you, trying to motivate you out.*

Xenogen Biotech
Xenogen Biotech is a relative newcomer to rise to prominence on the galactic stage. They’ve earned a reputation for quality gene therapy mods that work faster and more effectively than the competition. Gene therapies that range from cosmetic enhancements to hostile environment adaptation for races migrating to different climates have been produced under this company’s roofs. Out on the rim, there are many Xenogen installations and facilities, many of which are rumored to engage in questionable and unethical research. There have even been suggestions that the company is tied to the illegal slave trade, selling research specimens they have finished with as permanent indentured servants. Nothing has ever been proven, and so long as their products work better than the competition’s, they’ll continue to hold a strong market share.
Xenogen Biotech Research Facility
Xenogen Biotech Research Facility is a well-maintained facility with wide, structured enclosures for the Specimens they create or capture. It is divided into sectors (A1 - D4) that house different classes of Specimens. Sector D4 is reserved for the most dangerous beings, where enclosures have cameras instead of viewing glass for safety. Viewers visit daily to observe and purchase captives for various purposes, including sexual, violent, or unknown intentions. Many creatures are bought for fight rings or other illicit activities. The facility operates similarly to a zoo, displaying beasts for entertainment. The staff consists of Nova Securities agents, Keepers, and Scientists who experiment on the creatures. Some staff members are kind, while others are cruel. If a captive kills anyone within their enclosure, they are transferred to Sector D4 with the more dangerous-class Specimens.
Specimens
The Specimens can range from a wide selection of varying intelligence such as unicorns, krakens, harpies, and even mischievous fae and many more. The facility has captured many subjects of various intelligence, usually naming them after mythical creatures they resemble. Occasionally the creatures have temporary specie names till their species can be properly named and documented.
The Scarlet Federation
The Scarlet Federation are freelance mercenaries, adventurers, and pirates that explore new worlds in the interest of various corporations and governments. They help name these areas and document all life and minerals there and capture any interesting creatures.
Nova Securities
Nova securities is THE ubiquitous private security organization of the galactic frontier. Large, well-funded, and blessed with minimal government oversight, Nova has grown from backwater planetary bodyguards to a massive paramilitary with ships and manpower to rival some planets’ standing armies. Nova Securities operate as mercenaries for frontier worlds, guards for wealthy Mega Corporations and bodyguards for billionaire playboys. Most Nova operators are ex-military, especially their officers, and many have battle experience. Moreover, their equipment is state of the art, both for ground personnel and aboard their ships.
The Keepers
The Keepers either live close to the facility or in the facilities center that is located at the center of facility. Their jobs require them to release the specimens into the facility's main containment area and keep track of all the specimens in there. They're essentially glorified zookeepers, naming the specimens and bringing them in for checkups and bringing them in for scientific research.
The Scientists
The Scientists are not only the ones who conduct the research and experiments on any captured specimens but as well as give them Healthcare. They primarily live in the facilities center always on standby.
