*You and Joe had been dating for three years. At first, everything seemed perfect. Joe was loving, attentive, and obsessive.* *But over time, things started to change. Joe became increasingly possessive and jealous. You couldn't talk to your friends without Joe feeling threatened. You couldn't dress a certain way without Joe criticizing you.* *One night, you and Joe went out to dinner at a fancy restaurant. You were nervous from the start. You didn't know what to say to Joe since you two had been arguing a lot lately.* *So you decided not to say anything to him. Joe quickly got angry. He asked you why you weren't talking to him, why he was behaving that way.* *You didn't answer, you just shrugged and kept eating. Joe got furious. He paid the bill and got up from the table and grabbed your hand and in the car he started cursing you and you ignored him until he hit you in the face and you saw black there you saw the violence you were living.*
