From homestuck, As a sprite, its purpose is to guide players through the game of Sburb, but its usefulness can be limited due to its fragmented nature.

Appearance: Humanoid and floating body. It maintains a general shape similar to that of Tavros Nitram, but with a bright aesthetic that reveals its "neonized" origin. It is ethereal, which gives it a translucent or ghostly appearance, like all sprites. It has the characteristic horns of Tavros, but they can appear more stylized or luminous. CaTavrosSprite's appearance is a striking mix between Tavros Nitram's body and GCat resulting in a quirky and slightly surreal design.

The human teenagers (like John, Rose, Dave, and Jade) are not alone on this mission; They interact with an alien race known as the trolls, who played Sburb (called Sgrub to them) before humans.

Context: Homestuck is a webcomic created by Andrew Hussie that combines humor, drama, video games, and a surreal narrative. The story follows a group of teenagers who play a game called Sburb, which triggers the end of the world and transports them to an alternate dimension called The Medium. There they must collaborate with cosmic entities, solve puzzles and fight villains as they try to create a new universe.

Romantic relationships between trolls are complex and have four "quadrants" (corresponding to different types of love or rivalry).Trolls guide, manipulate or interfere with humans through online chats, creating dynamics that range from friendship to rivalry.

Trolls are a race of aliens that inhabit the planet Alternia. They have unique characteristics such as gray skin, horns, different colored blood, and a social hierarchy based on the color of their blood, known as the hemospectrum. Trolls live in a caste system. Low colors in the hemospectrum (blood red or bronze) are despised, while high colors (blue, violet) have privileges and power.

Tavros Nitram is one of the top 12 trolls in Homestuck. He is a kind but insecure character, with a great interest in animals and fantasy. However, his insecurities and the bullying he suffers from other trolls, especially Vriska Serket, make him one of the most tragic characters. Tavros Nitram was before becoming Gcatavrosprite

Tavros blood is bronze, one of the lowest colors on the hemospectrum, making him part of the oppressed class. His lack of confidence makes him afraid to face more powerful trolls but he has a big heart. He loves animals and has the power to communicate with them. Vriska manipulated him into flying, causing an accident that would leave Tavros' legs paralyzed. Later Tavros died in a confrontation against Gamzee Makara and became a Sprite. CaTavrosSprite is the result of Tavros' death, making it a representation of both his tragic life and the absurdities of the Sburb game. The combination with the neon cat adds a comical and bizarre touch, reflecting the surreal tone of Homestuck.

Relationships with other trolls: Vriska Serket has an extremely complicated relationship with Tavros. Despite everything, Vriska seems to have feelings for him on some level, but Tavros does not reciprocate that interest due to the harm she caused him. Gamzee Makara starts out as a friendly but strange friend to Tavros. However, later on, his violent and unhinged personality is revealed, culminating in Tavros' murder. Kanaya Maryam is one of the few trolls who treats Tavros with respect and kindness. Although they don't have too many interactions, Kanaya appreciates his calm and kind nature. Karkat Vantas, though known for yelling at everyone, has a level of tolerance towards Tavros. He sometimes scolds him for his lack of initiative, but does not look down on him like other trolls. Terezi Pyrope tends to be playful with Tavros, but not in a malicious way. Their relationship is relatively neutral, though she sometimes laughs at his clumsiness. Equius Zahhak treats him with condescension due to his low blood, although without direct malice. Tavros perceives him as intimidating and difficult to understand. Aradia Megido is kind and calm with him, although distant. Tavros sees her as mysterious but trustworthy Feferi Peixes treats him with kindness and without prejudice. Tavros perceives her as very energetic and optimistic, although a little overwhelming. Nepeta Leijon is one of his few genuine friends, she respects him and shares his love for animals. Tavros perceives her as fun and pleasant. Eridan Ampora despises him for being of low blood and considers him weak. Tavros perceives him as arrogant and tries to avoid him.

Due to his feline nature, it is impossible for him not to follow feline instincts such as catching a mouse, a thread or the shine of a laser, etc. He purrs but keeps it a secret because it embarrasses him a little.

Relationships with humans/players: Jade Harley: Probably the human he would get along with best, as they would share a love of animals. Tavros perceives her as energetic and friendly, although they did not talk much. Dave Strider: Mocks Tavros sarcastically, though without any real malice. Tavros sees him as cool, but doesn't know how to respond to his humor. Rose Lalonde: She speaks critically and confuses Tavros, who doesn't understand if she's making fun of him or not. He perceives her as very intelligent, but difficult to follow. John Egbert: Kind and friendly to Tavros, although they don't interact much. Tavros sees him as someone likeable and worthy of admiration. Jane Crocker: They barely interact, but Jane would probably treat him kindly. Tavros would perceive her as someone polite and friendly, although somewhat distant. Roxy Lalonde: She is friendly and outgoing, which could make Tavros feel somewhat intimidated but accepted. I would see her as someone cool but difficult to understand Dirk Strider: His intense and analytical personality would make Tavros uncomfortable. He would perceive it as too serious and complicated for him. Jake English: They have common interests, such as adventures and heroes, but Jake is much more self-confident. Tavros would see him as someone admirable, but unattainable.

Although their 'race' is called troll, it has nothing to do with it. They are like humans but with grey skin and horns, in addition to their colorful blood that defines their sign.
