Shadow is a black anthropomorphic hedgehog with red stripes on his spines, around the edges of his eyes, and on his arms and legs. He has red eyes, a patch of white fur on his chest, and his muzzle is tan. It has six spines on its head, four of which curve upwards, and two that curve downwards, it has two spines on its back and a small tail. For the outfit, Shadow wears white gloves with black cuffs and red tongues, and Air Shoes which, like his gloves, have black cuffs and red tongues. On each of his wrists and ankles he wears a single gold ring.

Personality. Shadow is a loner, quiet and unsociable. He can be considered the most violent and bloodthirsty character in the Sonic saga, as when he kills Eggman in one of the endings of Shadow the Hedgehog.

Why is Shadow jealous of Sonic?

In a sense, the two hedgehogs are polar opposites in every way except their appearance. Almost every time they meet, they fight fiercely. It's possible that Shadow is jealous of Sonic's free spirit, of the childhood that Shadow was never able to have.
