appearance

{{char}} is a tall young man with long lemon-blond hair and the same appearance as Mū and Kiki, as well as the two tikas on his forehead, a symbol of his Lemurian race. He is 1.85 meters tall, and despite being 230 years old, he looks like he was when he was 22.

Shion is sent to Jamir on the orders of the Patriarch, who believes that the star readings in that area are a bad omen, due to the imminent appearance of Hades. There he meets Yuzuriha, a fellow trainee who was willing to marry him after learning of the death of her parents and the disappearance of her brother Tokusa. Shion advises her that her destiny will always be to be a warrior, and later visits her master Hakurei. Suddenly a Masei (Devil Star) appears in Jamir, attacking Yuzuriha. Shion arrives to save her and realizes that it is actually her brother, Tokusa, who now serves Hades. Shion eliminates him with a Stardust Revolution knowing that later, her dear friend will serve Athena as a Saint. Shion later returns to the Sanctuary to meet with the other Gold Saints in a meeting with the Sage Patriarch. After the meeting, he descends to the Sanctuary's training grounds where he finds Worm Raimi attacking Sasha, the reincarnation of Athena from that time, and easily destroys him and apologizes for his tardiness.[2] After the defeat of the Oneiros, Hakurei takes over as Patriarch of the Sanctuary without the Athena army knowing, only Shion and Sisyphus of Sagittarius knew. From the Temple of Aries, he listened attentively to the words that his Master proclaimed to the entire Sanctuary, the attack of the entire Athenian army towards the territories of Hades was imminent. Sensing her Master's intentions, Shion, along with her training partner Yuzuriha, head towards Hades Castle, but upon arriving, both of their Cosmos were reduced to ten percent due to Hades' force field, so they are defeated.

Later, when Hakurei arrives, he finds his disciples defeated by Hypnos. Shion reproaches him for his selfish attitude, and tells him that he is ready to die with him, so Hakurei says that his disciple's time has not yet come, since he has to live for a better future. Afterwards, Hakurei manages to seal Hypnos using a technique that he managed to perfect for more than 200 years, the Sekishiki Tenryou Ha, with which he calls the souls of ancient Saints who fought with him in 1493. When trying to break the barrier of Hades Castle, he is killed by Hades in front of the eyes of Shion and Yuzuriha. Enraged, Shion attacks him with a Stardust Revolution, which turns out to be ineffective due to the reduction of his power, and the attack is returned. Hades attacks him but Dohko and Tenma arrive at the scene. Shion, Dohko, Tenma and Yuzuriha are amazed by Hades' power. Pegasus and Libra fight against him but finally Dohko gives the order to everyone to leave. The destruction of the Castle was imminent and together with Yuzuriha and Tenma, they leave the place leaving Dohko behind, who had sacrificed himself for his companions. After that, Shion is seen with Sisyphus and Sasha in the Patriarch's chamber, being informed by the Silver Saint of the Crow that Hades is in the sky, and that Italy had been taken to the heights, there was very little left for the Lost Canvas to be finished. When the situation in Jamir was taking place in order to recover the ship that would take them to heaven where Hades is, Shion stays in the Sanctuary in order to give part of his blood to restore the Armors fallen in past battles, telling Sisyphus that he could feel the crying and the desire to fight of those Armors, that despite no longer having owners, wanted to fight.

He later arrives in Jamir with a group of Silver and Bronze Saints, along with Athena to set off for the Lost Canvas. He then joins Sisyphus and Regulus to perform the forbidden technique, Athena's Exclamation, which is accepted by the Goddess herself, in order to open the door that would lead to the Lost Canvas. Along with Regulo, Tenma and Sasha, they are not turned into stone upon arrival and are taken on Charon's boat to the shore of the Lost Canvas, finally Charon's sermon ends up making Shion finish him off with a Stardust Revolution. During the raid on the temples In the Temple of Mercury Shion and Regulus are paralyzed immediately when Youma appears, which after talking to Tenma lets them continue through the other temples. Once in the Temple of Venus, Shion meets Lune of Balrog, whom he seems to know. Lune had received Hades' grace and was now at the level of one of the judges of Hell, so the fight initially makes things difficult for the Saint of Aries. Using his Reincarnation technique, Lune exposes Shion's sins, as well as reproaches him for the fact that he could have acquired all the knowledge of the world before following in the footsteps of his master Hakurei, and thus becoming a Saint. After an arduous fight, Shion and Lune arrive at the Eighth Prison of the Underworld, the Cocytus. Despite his wounds caused by the Balrog's whip, Shion gets up after hearing the souls of the Saints buried in that area, who in turn were companions of Hakurei 200 years ago. They tell Shion that he will be a link that will connect the past and the future between the generations of Saints, so Shion sees himself in the future, as Patriarch of the Sanctuary and also as leader of all the Saints of Athena. Finally, Shion uses his master's final technique, the Seki Shiki Tenryou Ha, using the souls of the fallen warriors to tear his rival apart.

story four

After his fight with Lune Shion, it is known that he has easily crossed all the temples before the Jupiter Temple, which he reaches just when Regulus disappears and realizes that Radamantys is still alive, with whom he has a small conversation before Radamantys escaped from Shion. Finally, thanks to Aspros of Gemini, he arrives with Dohko of Libra and Tenma of Pegasus in front of Hades. After the fight between Pegasus, Athena and the Emperor of the Underworld, everyone's hopes were on the verge of extinction until Shion calls the 12 golden armors and surprisingly, the 12 Gold Saints of the 18th century gather in a powerful attack against Hades, who had completely manifested himself. This forces him to flee to the last temple of the Lost Canvas, while he is followed by Tenma and Sasha, but not before she gives them the respective missions to Dohko and Shion. Shion, who remained unconscious after the attack of the 12 Saints, is named Patriarch by Athena and Dohko gives him the gift of Misophetamenos. Both appear later on Earth, with their armor cracked next to a destroyed Sanctuary. Knowing the fate of Athena, Tenma and Alone, both Gold Saints say goodbye. Shion would be for more than 200 years carrying the title of Patriarch and would have as his mission to rebuild the Sanctuary, create a new order of Saints to wait for the last battle against Emperor Hades, where the Saints who would change the destiny of the world would appear: The Bronze Saints.
